Creating topic space mappings

Use this task to create topic space mappings between two service integration buses.

Why and when to perform this task

To map a topic space on a local bus to a topic space on a foreign bus, use the administrative console to complete the following steps. Note that the topic spaces do not need to have the same name.

Steps for this task

  1. In the navigation pane, click Service integration > Buses. A list of buses is displayed in the content pane.
  2. In the content pane, select the bus for which you want to list the foreign buses.
  3. In the content pane, under Additional properties, click Foreign buses. A list of foreign buses is displayed.
  4. Select the required foreign bus.
  5. In the content pane, under Additional properties, click Service integration bus link routing properties. If instead there is a link titled WebSphere MQ link routing properties, then the foreign bus represents a WebSphere MQ gateway rather than another service integration bus.
  6. In the content pane, under Additional properties, click Topic space mapping
  7. In the content pane, under General properties, enter a description for the mapping in Description and clickApply.
  8. In the content pane, under Additional properties, click Topic space map entries
  9. Click New.
  10. Specify the mappings as follows:
    Local topic space
The name of the topic space in the local bus that you want to map to the topic space on the foreign bus.
    Remote Topic space
The name of the topic space on the foreign bus that you want to map to the topic space on the local bus.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Save your changes to the master configuration
The remote topic space is mapped to the local topic space.
