Controlling which foreign buses can link to your bus

Use this task to to control which foreign buses are allowed to link to your bus.

Why and when to perform this task

When messaging security is enabled, it is important that only authorized foreign buses are allowed to link to your bus.

To control which foreign buses can create a link to your bus, complete the following steps:

Steps for this task

  1. Set the authentication alias property on the link definition to be used for authentication of the foreign bus joining your bus, as described in Adding a service integration bus link.
  2. If you require extra security, configure the SSL certificate stores to restrict who can make an SSL connection, and hence link to the bus. For more information see ../../com.ibm.websphere.express.doc/info/exp/ae/tsec_ssl.html.
