Removing users and groups from topic roles

Use these commands in wsadmin to remove users and groups from topic roles.

Why and when to perform this task

To remove a user or group's permission to access a level in the topic hierarchy that has an additional level of permission set up, remove the user or group from the Sender or Receiver role for the appropriate topic.

Note: The following commands are used to reverse the effect of an addUserToTopicRole or addGroupToTopicRole command, that is, they are used to remove a user or group from a role on a specific topic to which they have previously been added using the addUserToTopicRole or addGroupToTopicRole.command as described in Adding users and groups to topic roles.
Removing a user
To remove a user from a topic roles that they belong to within the specified topic space, use the following command in wsadmin:
$AdminTask removeUserFromTopicRole
         {-bus busName
         -topicSpace topicSpaceName
         -topic topicName
         -role roleName
         -user userName}
Removing a group
To remove a group from a topic role that it belongs to within the specified topic space, use the following command in wsadmin:
$AdminTask removeGroupFromTopicRole
         {-bus busName
         -topicSpace topicSpaceName
         -topic topicName
         -role roleName
         -group groupName}
After using these commands, save your changes to the master configuration; for example, by using the following command in wsadmin:
 $AdminConfig save
