This topic describes the concept of sending a message to another WebSphere Application Server through a WebSphere MQ network.
Although there are differences between WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere MQ, the WebSphere Application Server has the WebSphere MQ link which automatically takes care of most message conversion (of course, data conversion is under your control). A message arriving at a target WebSphere Application Server will be the same as that leaving the transmitting WebSphere Application Server, despite its conversion from WebSphere Application Server to WebSphere MQ and back to WebSphere Application Server format.
Messages with topic style reply-to destinations must have the appropriate publish/subscribe bridge topic mappings defined in the relevant direction in order for reply messages to be transferred between a WebSphere MQ network and WebSphere Application Server. This is not automatic as it is for messages with queue reply destinations.
