Adding an inbound port through the command line

Before you begin

The command described in this topic is run using the AdminTask object of the wsadmin scripting client.

This command is only valid when run against WebSphere Application Server Version 6 application servers. Do not run it against earlier versions.

Command-line help is provided with each of the service integration technologies commands:
  • For a list of all the available service integration bus Web services enablement (SIBWS) commands, plus a brief description of each, enter the following command:
    wsadmin> $AdminTask help SIBWebServices
  • For detailed help on a given command, enter the following command:
    wsadmin> $AdminTask help command_name

Purpose

This command adds the configuration for an InboundPort to an InboundService.

Command name
addSIBWSInboundPort
Target
ObjectName of the InboundService to which the port is to be added.
Result
ObjectName of the created InboundPort object.

If the port name is already in use by another InboundPort for the InboundService, or the specified endpoint listener does not exist, the command fails.

If the templatePort is specified but does not exist in the InboundService template WSDL, the command fails.

If there is no BusConnectionProperty for the InboundService bus, then one is created with the default reply destination name.

Required Parameters

name
The name of the port.
endpointListener
The name of the associated endpoint listener.

Conditional Parameters

node
The node in which the endpoint listener is located.
server
The server in which the endpoint listener is located.

Optional Parameters

templatePort
The name of the port in the template WSDL to use as a basis for this port binding.

Example

set inPort [$AdminTask addSIBWSInboundPort $inService {-name "MyServiceSoap" -endpointListener "SOAPHTTP1" -node "MyNode" -server "server1"}]
