Configuring mediation context properties

Use this task to configure context properties for a mediation.

Before you begin

This task assumes that you have defined a mediation in the administrative console. For more information, see Defining a mediation.

Why and when to perform this task

The mediation uses the mediation context, in conjunction with the message header information, to process messages. By configuring the mediation context, you are ensuring that messages are processed correctly.
Note: Context properties on a destination take precedence over context properties on a mediation. For example, if a property with the same name is configured for a destination and a mediation, the property on the destination takes precedence.

To configure context information for a mediation, use the administrative console to complete the following steps:

Steps for this task

  1. Display the context information for a selected mediation:
    1. In the content pane, click the name of the service integration bus
    2. Under Additional Properties, click Mediations.
    3. In the content pane, select the mediation for which you want to configure context information.
    4. Under Additional Properties, click Context information.
