Deleting an outbound service configuration through the command line

Before you begin

The command described in this topic is run using the AdminTask object of the wsadmin scripting client.

This command is only valid when run against WebSphere Application Server Version 6 application servers. Do not run it against earlier versions.

Command-line help is provided with each of the service integration technologies commands:
  • For a list of all the available service integration bus Web services enablement (SIBWS) commands, plus a brief description of each, enter the following command:
    wsadmin> $AdminTask help SIBWebServices
  • For detailed help on a given command, enter the following command:
    wsadmin> $AdminTask help command_name

Purpose

This command deletes an OutboundService object, along with any associated OutboundPort objects.

Command name
deleteSIBWSOutboundService
Target
ObjectName of the OutboundService object to be deleted.
Result
None.

The service and port destinations are deleted. Any messages on the service and port destinations are either deleted or sent to an exception destination as specified in the policy for the messaging bus.

Resources associated with the OutboundService and OutboundPorts (JAX-RPC handler lists, WS-Security configuration) are dissociated from the OutboundService and OutboundPorts, but are not themselves deleted.
