Enabling and disabling logging

This topic describes how to enable and disable logging through the administrative console.

Why and when to perform this task

You can enable and disable logging through the administrative console to start the generation of request metrics logs in the SystemOut.log file in the install_root/profiles/profile_name/logs/server_name directory.

Steps for this task

  1. Open the administrative console.
  2. Click Monitoring and Tuning > Request metrics.
  3. Under Request Metrics Destination, select the Standard Logs check box to enable the logging feature. To disable the logging feature, clear the Standard Logs check box.

Result

Enabling or disabling the logging feature is complete.
