Why and when to perform this task
The Customization Dialog is intended for the system programmer or administrator responsible for installing and customizing WebSphere Application Server for z/OS. It allows you to perform the following options:
This will produce security domain variables that you will then use in other options.
This will give you a working base system with a single-cluster Application Server and a location service daemon.
This optional step will set up JMS on your system.
This will enable the Network Deployment function of WebSphere Application Server for z/OS, creating the deployment manager and node agent.
This optional step will add another deployment manager node to your WebSphere Application Server for z/OS configuration.
This optional step will set up a Web services gateway on your system.
This step, which applies only if you want to apply Cumulative Fix W502000 on top of a prior WebSphere Application Server for z/OS service level, allows you to generate a job that indicates your consent with the new v5.0 license agreement. You must run this option for each configured WebSphere Application Server for z/OS home directory.
In order to use the Dialog, you must know or be able to find the system characteristics for the system on which WebSphere Application Server for z/OS will run.
