Why and when to perform this task
An HTTP timeout message might be received on the Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS) console, when an abend occurs in the servant region of the deployment manager as you invoke a long-duration activity through the administrative console. Two examples of such activities are the stopping of a very large application, or the starting of a cluster. When this condition occurs, if you are logged into the administrative console, you will receive an HTTP error code and see that your session is no longer valid. Workload Management (WLM) starts another servant, but you have to wait for WLM and the administrative console to restart. In response to this situation, you might want to disable the timeouts in the deployment manager for HTTP transports.
