For example, to change directories on a Linux platform, issue this command if your installation root is /opt/WebSphere/NetworkDeployment:
cd /opt/WebSphere/NetworkDeployment/_uninstPME
*Linux for S/390 platforms refers to the Linux distributions available from Linux distributors that run on IBM eServer zSeries and S/390 systems in 31-bit mode.
On Windows platforms, call the Uninstall.exe command:
ND_install_root\_uninstPME\Uninstall.exeCall the program directly from the install_root\_uninstPME directory. For example, if the installation root is C:\WebSphere\NetworkDeployment, issue the following command:
C:\WebSphere\NetworkDeployment\_uninstPME> Uninstall.exe
On Linux and UNIX-based platforms, issue the uninstall command from the install_root/_uninstPME directory:
uninstall
The uninstaller program on V5.1 gives you the option of leaving the embedded messaging client feature installed. This is a legal option only when there is another instance on the machine of either Network Deployment or the base product that has the client feature installed. The V5.0.x uninstaller program does not have this enhancement of leaving the embedded messaging client code installed. Therefore, the procedure for uninstalling Network Deployment varies slightly, depending on the version you are uninstalling.
The V5.1 uninstaller wizard prompts you whether to uninstall the embedded messaging client feature. The prompt lets you select to keep the embedded messaging client because it might be shared with other product instances. Legally you can keep the feature installed only when there is another instance of a WebSphere Application Server product on the machine that also uses the feature.
The uninstaller wizard begins and displays a panel.
In V5.0.x the uninstaller program displays a language selection panel. Results
