Managing the WebSphere Business Integration Adapters resources
Use the administrative commands on this page to manage the WebSphere
Business Integration Adapters (WBIA) resources.
To view this administrative console page, click Servers > Application
Servers > serverName > WBIA Service > Manage the WBIA
resources.
The following commands are available for managing WBIA resources:
- Status
- The Status command provides the current state of the connector.
Possible connector states are:
- active
- inactive
- suspended
- Activate
- The Activate command changes the state of the connector from inactive
to active. In the active state, the connector performs both event delivery
and request processing.
- Deactivate
- The Deactivate command changes the state of the connector from
active to inactive. In the inactive state, the connector process continues
to run; however, the connector no longer accepts new requests.
- Suspend
- The Suspend command changes the state of the connector from
active to suspended. In the suspended state, the connector does not perform
event delivery; however, it continues to accept and process requests.
- Resume
- The Resume command changes the state of the connector from suspended
to active. When it returns to the active state, the connector resumes event
delivery.
- Shutdown
- The Shutdown command shuts down the connector process. You cannot
restart the connector process from the Integration Server administrative console.
Instead, you must restart the connector process with startup scripts installed
with the WebSphere Business Integration Adapter product.
Use the commands on the WBIA resources. Click on a resource to select
it from the list, and then click on a command button to submit that command
for the resource. When you select a resource, a detail page describing the
configured fields appears. The resource detail page displays in read
only mode.
- Name
- Specifies the name of the WBIA resource.
The property value is a string with no spaces, which is meant to be a
meaningful text identifier for the WBIA resource.
- Description
- Specifies a text description of the WBIA resource.
The property value is a free-form text string, which describes the WBIA
resource and its purpose.
- Category
- An optional field that is used to classify or group the WBIA resources.
- Message Timeout
- Specifies the number of seconds WebSphere Application Server waits
to receive administrative messages from the WebSphere Business Adapter before
a timeout occurs for that session. The default value is 30 seconds.
