Installation completes, but Sample applications do not work
If the WebSphere Application Server installation program completes successfully,
but the Sample applications do not run:
- Browse the application
server log files install_dir\logs\server_name\SystemErr.log and SystemOut.log for clues.
- Viewing the JVM logs of the hosting application server
for clues, after attempting to run a Sample application,
- Look up any error or warning messages in the message table by clicking
on the Reference view of the information center navigation and expanding
the Messages heading.
- Verify any security-related problems. The error message "MSGS0508E: The JMS Server security service was unable to
authenticate userid" might display in the SystemOut.log file when starting an application server.
- Review Troubleshooting the installation for more information.
