Configuring the business process container

Use this task to configure the business process container.

Before you begin

Complete Planning to use process choreographer.

Why and when to perform this task

You must configure the necessary resources and install the business process container before you can use process choreographer.

Steps for this task

  1. If you are preparing a clustered process choreographer setup, Creating clusters.
  2. If you are using an external Java Message Service (JMS) provider, WebSphere MQ, perform Creating the queue manager and queues for the business process container.
  3. Creating the database for the business process container.
  4. If you are preparing a clustered process choreographer setup perform Configuring the business process container on a cluster .
  5. If you are not preparing a clustered process choreographer setup, decide whether you want to configure the business process container using the install wizard (recommended) or manually, and perform one of the following actions:
  6. Activating the business process container.
  7. To verify that the business process container has started successfully, check that there are no error messages in the SystemOut.log file for the application server. On a cluster, check the log for all application servers in the cluster.
  8. Verifying that the business process container works.

Results

The business process container is configured and working.
