Example: Migrating - Stopping an application server

The WebSphere Application Server V4.0 wscp tool requires that you know the hierarchical name of the application server in question (the node name and the server name). The same information is required in V5.x.

Tip: You are stopping a server object, not an application server. Servers represent logical processes on many platforms, for instance Windows or AIX, and are the entity that is stopped and started. Application servers are contained within servers.
