Installation component troubleshooting tips
If you are having problems installing the WebSphere Application Server,
follow these steps to resolve the problem:
- If possible, follow the steps outlined
in Troubleshooting the installation.
- Browse the relevant log files for clues:
- The main installation log file: install_dir/log.txt.
- IBM Http Server log: install_dir/ihs_log.txt.
- The log file produced when the default application .ear file
is installed is: install_dir/logs/installDefaultApplication.log.
- Ensure that you have installed the correct level of dependent software,
such as operating system version and revision level, by reviewing WebSphere
Application Server detailed system requirements
