Problem(Abstract)
MustGather for Plug-in problems with IBM® WebSphere® Application Server V5.0 and V5.1 for z/OS®. Gathering the information before calling IBM support helps familiarize you with the troubleshooting process and saves you time.
 
Resolving the problem
Plug-in specific MustGather information for Application Server V5.0 and V5.1:


If you have not already contacted IBM, click: MustGather: Read first for WebSphere Application Server for z/OS.


If you encounter a problem running the Plug-in in Application Server Version 5 that can be re-created, collect the following tracing information and send to the support center:

  1. Turn on the server tracing using the MVS Modify command:
    1. f <server>,tracedetail=(3,4)
    2. f <server>,tracejava=´*=all=enabled´
  2. Turn on -vv tracing
  3. Turn on the Plug-In tracing by coding the following statement in the plugin-cfg.xml file:
    < Log LogLevel="Trace" Name="/{some hfspath}/{some filename, such as PluginTrace.log"/>
  4. Recycle the servers
  5. Re-run the scenario
  6. Gather the CR JOBLOG, SR JOBLOG, and plug-in trace for the Application Server
  7. Disable the tracing and recycle the servers

If the problem is not re-creatable or if tracing cannot be turned on, send the Control Region and Server Region JOBLOGs of the Application Server for initial review.
