Setting a Value for protocol_http_large_data_inbound_buffer.
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
The Information Center suggests setting this value using the Administrative Console in the 'Manage WebSphere Variables' panel:

Environment > Manage WebSphere Variables

When setting this value for a Deployment Manager in the manner described, the only option is to set the value at the node level for the Deployment Manager node. You may find that the value you set in this panel is not taking affect on their system.

Cause
The value can also be set at the server level as an environment variable for the Deployment Manager in the following panel:

System Administration > Deployment Manager > Process Definition > Control > Environment Entries

If the value is set in this panel, the node level value set via the instructions from the info-center will be overridden.

Resolving the problem
Remove the environment variable from the server level environment entry panel. Once this is done, the node level setting should take affect.
