(Using Servers -> Application Servers -> server1 -> Process Definition -> Control -> Java Virtual Machine -> Custom Properties) Adding this property to the Servant region does correctly append the value to the "ws.ext.dirs" list in the servant.jvm.options file. (MD20647) The asynchronous JMX dispatch can not send asynchronous messages to a specific servant, its a broadcast based mechanism. Whenever a servant receives a broadcast it responds by asking the controller for a bundle of JMX work. When a JMX request is targeted at a specific servant, null bundles of work must still be prepared for all other servants. A servant that picks up a null bundle of work has nothing to do. Currently, the null bundle of work causes the error message shown above to be produced, but other than that it has no real negative impact on anything.Problem conclusion APAR PQ99078 fixes the following defect in WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS. (MD20026) The same technique for the Contoller region was used for the Servant region with regard to the "ws.ext.dirs" JVM System Property. (MD20647) New code has been introduced that allows a null bundle of work to be handled gracefully, without generating any error messages. APAR PQ99078 is associated with SERVICE LEVEL W502021 of WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS.Temporary fix Comments
