This is mainly due to the Administrative Console application being re-installed for every service level that has pending post install actions. (MD20489) MBean processing can leak 800 byte blocks of heap storage. The storage will contain the stokens for the active servant regions. (MD20565) If an RRS-transactional JDBC Connection obtained from the WebSphere Relational Resource Adapter is used in an environment without a Transaction Context (for example, a thread spawned by a web application) and if getAutoCommit() is called on this Connection, a java.lang.NullPointerException will be thrown to the application. This NullPointerException will not show up in any WebSphere logs before being thrown to the application, therefore the location of this error will depend on how the application catches and displays exceptions. (MD20567) A request to invoke an object in the application server failed with the following exception: org.omg.CORBA.MARSHAL: Unable to read value from underlying bridge. The client's partner version minor value is not being processed correctly.Problem conclusion APAR PQ96300 fixes the following defect in WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS. (MD20402) Reduce the number of times the Administrative Console application is re-installed during post install to the minimum necessary. (MD20489) Code has been modified to fix the leak. (MD20565) Calls to getAutoCommit() using an RRS-transactional Connection will now succeed whether or not there is a Transaction Context on the thread. (MD20567) The code is updated to handle the client's partner version minor value correctly. APAR PQ96300 is associated with SERVICE LEVEL W502017 of WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS.Temporary fix Comments
