Error description A WMSG0056W message may be displayed on startup of a WebSphere Application Server for z/OS server, even though the documented recommendations were followed to configure the Listener Port maxixmum sessions and the Connection factory session pool maximum connections. . An example of the WMSG0056W message : WMSG0056W: MDB Listener Port LP_1 maximum sessions size of 12 is greater than its JMS Connection Factory jms/QCF Session Pool size of 6, setting maximum sessions to 6Local fix Ignore the WMSG0056W message. The advice in the information center is correct. However, after following the advice a WMSG0056W message may be displayed when starting an application server on z/OS, similar to the following example: . WMSG0056W: MDB Listener Port <LPNAME> maximum sessions size of 12 is greater than its JMS Connection Factory <CF_NAME> Session Pool size of 6, setting maximum sessions to 6 . This message is displayed incorrectly. The maximum sessions used by the listener port are not altered as indicated by this message. They are used as specified in the configuration.Problem conclusion This APAR prevents the message from being displayed. There is no other change in behaviour due to this APAR. APAR PK58078 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.17 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1 for z/OS.
