When ABENDEC3 Timeout ABENDs occur in WebSphere Application Server for z/OS, it is possible to:
  • identify the cause of the timeout,
  • View current activity in the Application Server,
  • Determine whether a datastore is responding, or not,
  • Determine whether there are Java™ synchronization issues, and
  • Determine whether the server has an excessively heavy load.

Mike Stephen has been with IBM® for over 21 years, mostly in software support for z/OS applications. For the last 8 years, Mike has been supporting WebSphere Application Server for z/OS. Mike is currently the team lead for the Level 2 WebSphere Application Server for z/OS team.
