![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description After the apply of W501002 (UQ81380) to WebSphere Application Server for z/OS v5.01, requests driven through an HTTP plugin will fail. This APAR will PE UQ81380, because the default behavior of WebSphere was changed at this level. WebSphere now has a property called 'TrustedProxy' that can be set at the admin console. This property was introduced with the default setting 'false'. To run requests through an HTTP Plugin, this setting needs to be 'true'.Local fix Set the value 'TrustedProxy' to true: 1. In the console navigation tree, click Servers > Application Servers > server_name > Web Container > HTTP Transport 2. Click on the HOST whose properties you want to set. 3. Under Additional Properties select Custom Properties. 4. On the Custom Properties page, click New. 5. Enter TrustedProxy for the variable name, and true for the value. 6. The default behavior of WebSphere for z/OS was changed by APAR PQ77750. WebSphere for z/OS now has a property called 'TrustedProxy' that can be set at the administrative console. To run requests through the WebSphere HTTP Plug-in for z/OS, this setting needs to be set to 'true'.Problem conclusion This APAR provides instructions which allow running requests through the WebSphere HTTP Plug-in for z/OS after the application of PTF UQ81380. To do this, an installation must do the following to set the value 'TrustedProxy' to true: 1.
