Error description When installing an app using the admin console the user fills in the field " DIRECTORY TO INSTALL APPLICATION " to point to a different hfs structure than would normally be used by default WebSphere appears to ignore this value and install the app in the default hfs structure.Local fix HBCProblem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When installing an Application on * * the Administrative Console * * the "Directory to Install Application" * * is not honored. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When installing an Application, step 1 has a field entitled "Directory to Install Application". This value was not being honored and the application installed under $WAS_HOME/installedApps instead.Problem conclusion Application install processing was modified to correctly support application install to a user specified install directory.
