Error description userids entered in mixed case used to be recognized as a match for in the registry for uppercase, this is no longer the case.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: User Id's are case sensitive when * * using local OS but they should not * * be. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When the local-OS user registry is the active user registry, the user id which the user logged in with was being treated as case sensitive and thus changed the way WebSphere Application Server on z/OS was working.Problem conclusion Changed the SAF Registry code to not be case sensitive. APAR PK14675 is associated with SERVICE LEVEL W502036 of WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS.Temporary fix Comments
