Started applications show as stopped
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
After converting from Base Application configuration to Network Deployment, all the applications on the Administrative Console show a status of stopped (red X), even though they really are started.

Traces show a security problem in the NodeAgent:
ExtendedMessage: reconnect; ÝSOAPException: faultCode=SOAP-ENV:Client; msg=Error opening socket: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: unknown certificate; targetException=java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Error opening socket: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: unknown certificate¨

Cause
The trace shows that the Deployment Manager and NodeAgent are both using an SSL repertoire of node/RACFJSSESettings. The Application Server is using node/DefaultSOAPSSLSettings, which is seen in the trace later as using the HFS key files, not RACF.

Resolving the problem
In the Administrative Console under Servers > Application Servers > servername >
Administration Services > JMX Connectors > SOAPConnector > Custom Properties > sslConfig from node1/DefaultSOAPSSLSettings to node1/RACFJSSESettings and recycled the appserver. Now all the applications show as started (green arrow).
