Error description JSPG0026I: JspBatchCompiler: Initializing server: server1. java.lang.NullPointerException Error encountered reading null JSPG0027E: JspBatchCompiler: Unable to initialize server: server1.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Running the JspBatchCompiler.sh shell * * results in a NullPointerException. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When running the JspBatchCOmpiler.sh shell script in order to pre-compile JSPs in an Enterprise Application, the script fails with a NullPointerExecption. This is because the script does not specify the input and output encodings on the invocation of the JVM , resulting in parameters being passed to the compilation function in an incorrect codepage.Problem conclusion The JspBatchCompiler.sh script has been updated to specify the correct encoding parameters on the JVM invocation.
