![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Customer wants to create configuration, using wsadmin scripting, where additional servers added to a cluster will use same http port as the server initially in the cluster. Setting the adjustPort variable to false does not currently create this configuration.Local fix No workaround using wsadmin scripting. But using the admin console customer, adding a cluster to a server customer can uncheck the box option titled "Generate Unique Http Ports". This will result in the newly server using the same http ports as the initial server in the cluster.Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using wsadmin to create a new * * clustermember, specifying * * {adjustPort false} may not work * * properly. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When using wsadmin to create a cluster member, specifying {adjustPort false} to disable the generation of unique ports for the server may not work properly. The cluster member is created but the serverindex.xml file has unique ports for the new cluster member. example command: $AdminConfig createClusterMember Cluster1(cells/<cell_name>/ clusters/Cluster3:cluster.xml#ServerCluster_1132172917143) <Node_Name>(cells/<cell_name>/nodes/SY1:node.xml#Node_1) {{memberName member1} {adjustPort false}}Problem conclusion The add clustermember code path has been fixed to properly handle the {adjustPort false} attribute.
