****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server *
*                 V6.1.0 for z/OS migrating configurations     *
* with invalid resource objects, where *
* required fields are left null. *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A NullPointerException occurs when *
* the migration code attempts to analyse *
* the invalid resource objects. *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
Migration had a dependency on invalid resources being removed
prior to attempting migration. This restriction is
different than that of the runtime, which ignores invalid
resources. Customers have determined that cleaning up their
configuration prior to migration is not feasible
Problem conclusion
Migration has been updated to carry forward the invalid objects
as best as it can determine. Customers should be warned that
most of their invalid config objects will be merged into a
single invalid config reference by this migration change.
After migration, if customers choose to, they can remove the
invalid resource objects.

APAR PK60752 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.17 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1
for z/OS.
