Error description
During migration from V5.x to V6.x of WebSphere on z/OS
customers may be using logstreams for XA partner logs. If this
is the case then the logstream must be deleted and redefined as
documented in the Information Center,

transaction XA partner log or compensation log on the Version
5.x server to use a log stream."

The migration instructions that are generated by the
customization dialog do not include this step. This apar will
add this step to the generated instructions.

Problem conclusion
Generating the migration instructions will now create a more
complete instruction document that includes the reminder about
XA partner log deletion
APAR PK39840 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.9 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1
for z/OS.
