Unable to add LIBPATH environment variable to Administrative Console
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
Unable to add LIBPATH environment variable through the Administrative Console or through the circumvention recommended by APAR PQ79646. Additional libraries are not being appended to the LIBPATH or CLASSPATH in the servant regions.

Cause
When you have native libraries, such as C executables and dlls you must include the server_region_classpath and server_region_libpath .

Resolving the problem
Update both through the Administrative Console as follows:
server_region_classpath

Servers > Application Servers > server > Process Definitions > Servant >
Java Virtual Machine > Classpath, and specify the classpath to be
appended.

server_region_libpath

Servers > Application Servers > server > Process Definitions > Servant >
Environment Entries > LIBPATH
