Error description
After the apply of W501002 (UQ81380) to WebSphere Application
Server for z/OS v5.01, requests driven through an HTTP plugin
will fail. This APAR will PE UQ81380, because the default
behavior of WebSphere was changed at this level. WebSphere now
has a property called 'TrustedProxy' that can be set at the
admin console. This property was introduced with the default
setting 'false'. To run requests through an HTTP Plugin, this
setting needs to be 'true'.
Local fix
Set the value 'TrustedProxy' to true:
1. In the console navigation tree, click
Servers >
Application Servers >
server_name >
Web Container >
HTTP Transport
2. Click on the HOST whose properties you want to set.
3. Under Additional Properties select Custom Properties.
4. On the Custom Properties page, click New.
5. Enter TrustedProxy for the variable name, and true for the
value.
6. Click Save on the console taskbar and save the changes to
the configuration.
