![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description During the synchronization process the customer's application ear file is being stopped, deleted and restarted erroneously. This problem only occurs when the enableDistribution flag was set to 'off' during the deployment or update process. This flag is disabled on the administrative console by unchecking the 'Distribute Application' box on the panel labeled:'Step 1 : Provide options to perform the installation'.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: EAR files with enableDistribution set * * to false are deleted from the node. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** An application was installed normally to a node. Subsequently, the application was updated to set the enableDistribution flag to false (in essence preventing further updates). However, during a future node synchronization the application's ear file was incorrectly deleted from the node's configuration. The application was then stopped and then restarted.Problem conclusion Fixed code that was causing the ear file to be flagged for deletion on a node sync. APAR PK19217 is associated with SERVICE LEVEL W502039 of WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS.Temporary fix Comments
