![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Failing to save and push out changes for CMP Resource Authorization. The sequence is the following: select => Enterprise Applications > GRL_1_BankUnit_R0 > Specifying Data Sources for Individual 2.x CMP Beans: change => Resource Authorization from Per Connection Factory to Container. After modifying the settings for the 2.x CMPs and pressing OK, WAS SM does not seem to recognize the change and will not offer a SAVE button after pressing OK. Changing another setting on the main application panel (such as classreloading) will trigger the "save" function but then the "changed documents list" only shows the deployment.xml and no trace of the XML files that should be affected by the change. If one tries several apps. on this cell and none of the ResAuth changes seems to be honered, on another cell (without security switched on) the update works and the save dialog is listing the files as updated.Local fix Set property "com.ibm.websphere.management.enableConfigMBean" to false by the following: To find this property and change it from adminconsole: Servers -> Application Servers -> <server> -> Administration Services -> Custom Properties -> com.ibm.websphere.managment.enableConfigMBean (set to false) This should be done on ALL AppServers that have WSAM installed. Save the changes and restart all servers(dmgr, nodeagent, appservers). Retry the failing scenario.Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Administrative Console does not * * always recognize a change to the CMP * * Resource Authorization settings of an * * application. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The Administrative Console does not always recognize changes to the CMP Resource Authorization settings of an application. The 'Save' configuration changes option is not presented. The Administrative Console query for the AppManagement MBean was too generic. If another AppManagement MBean was enabled on another server, it could prevent the Administrative Console from recognizing the configuration changes.Problem conclusion The Administrative Console's AppManagement MBean queries have been changed to be more specific to the DeploymentManager only. APAR PK00708 is associated with SERVICE LEVEL W502026 of WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS.Temporary fix Comments
