APAR status
Closed as program error.

Error description
When uninstalling an application deployed in WebSphere
Application Server for z/OS v5.0, some directories in the
WebSphere configuration root may not be deleted if those
directories contain symbolic links. In this particular case,
the /installedApps directory contained symbolic links.
Local fix
After the uninstall has been completed, manually delete the
application directories under the WebSphere configuration
root.
Problem summary

WebSphere did not correctly delete directories under the
installedApps directory where Application Binaries were stored.
This occured when the HFS contained a symlink, for example:
/WebSphere -> /SY1/WebSphere.
Problem conclusion
Code was modified to resolve symlinks and correctly delete
directories.
