Error description When the customer checks the "Deploy EJBs" box at the admin console during an application deploy, his application fails to successfully be deployed. Though, he is able to run the EJBDeploy command successfully from the command line. During the debug of the problem, it was found that setting com.ibm.etools.EJBDeploy.debug to a value of true was being ignored when set via the admin console's create new property under System Administration>Deployment Manager>Process Definition>Servant>Java Virtual Machine>Custom Properties.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When running EJBDeploy option via the * * Administrative Console, it is not * * possible to keep the working directory * * of the EJBDeploy code. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When running the EJBDeploy option via the Administrative Console with the com.ibm.etools.EJBDeploy.debug property set to true, the EJBDeploy working directory is not kept as it should be. To set the EJBDeploy debug option: Servers -> Application Servers -> <server> ->Process Definition Servant -> Java Virtual Machine -> Custom Properties or for ND: System Administration->Deployment Manager->Process Definition-> Servant->Java Virtual Machine->Custom PropertiesProblem conclusion The code was changed so that the setting of the EJBDeploy debug option is honored and the working directory is kept.
