APAR status
Closed as program error.

Error description
The app server recorded communication error - C9C20CDF (message
length exceeded) which customer expected.  However, there was a
problem with transaction recovery which caused the SR to be
brought down with abend DC3 with rsncode=040C0004.

Additional symptoms in the Controller:
minor codes C9C21015, C9C2180C and C9C2110f that follow the
above minor code.

Timeout:
BBOT0003W The transaction with URID
'BAF2B4A37E836144000040D001010000'. has timed out after
processing for more than 120 seconds.  The transaction will be
rolled back.  The transaction XID is

The application server made a request to an object residing in
another application server.  The reply exceeded the maximum
message length of 10 meg.  This resulted in an expected
CORBA::MARSHAL exception with minor code C9C20CDF.  However a
number of unexpected errors follow this.  The following errors
occur in the servant region:
  BBOO0033W Processing for signal 'SIGABND' (18)
            with abend=00DC3000 rsncode=040C0004
  BBOO0034W Terminating the current thread REASON=C9C20009.
  BBOO0159E Thread Type (5) SRT died.
  BBOO0006E WEBSPHERE FOR Z/OS PROCESS ENDED ABNORMALLY,
            REASON=C9C2120C
The servant region hangs (it does not end).
The following errors occur in the control region:
  BBOO0045E Internal failure, REASON=C9C21015
  BBOO0010W The function BBOT_TransactionControlRep::changeState
            raised CORBA system exception CORBA::INTERNAL.
            Error code is C9C2180C.
Problem conclusion
The errors occur because the transaction state was not updated
when the reply message was detected to be too long.
The code is updated to mark the transaction for rollback
when an exception is raised during an inbound reply.
