![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Customer encounters an error when deploying an application. The problem occurs when they get to the step 'Provide default datasource mapping for modules containing 1.x entity beans'. In this step, he selects 'Apply Multiple Mappings'. Then he selects the 'Specify existing Resources JNDI name'. When he selects this, the dropdown box contains none of his JNDI definitions. It only contains the word 'Select'. This prevents the customer from successfully deploying and starting the application.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Application Installation step titled * * "Provide default datasource mapping for * * modules containing 1.x entity beans" * * contains empty pulldown of JNDI names * * for EJB 2.0 modules containing only * * version 1.x CMP beans. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The Application Installation process omits a search of CMP connection factory datasources for version 1.x CMP beans regardless of the version of the containing EJB module.Problem conclusion The Application Installation process has been modified so that the dropdown of JNDI names for version 1.x CMP beans is populated from connection factory datasources when the application version is J2EE 1.3 and the EJB Module version is 2.x. Also, a JNDI name selected during installation will be placed into the defaultCMPConnectionFactory if such a binding exists.
