Error description Many RACF ABEND messages like these *ICH409I 283-04C ABEND DURING RACINIT PROCESSING and *ICH409I 283-04C ABEND DURING IRRSIA00 PROCESSING appear in the job log during normal operation of a WebSphere for z/OS Version 5 server. The S283-04C abends do not seem to affect the server.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Many RACF ABEND messages like these * * *ICH409I 283-04C ABEND DURING IRRSIA00 * * PROCESSING * * appear in the job log during normal * * operation of a WebSphere for * * z/OS Version 5 server. The dump showed that an ACEE was being returned to RACF, and RACF rejected the ACEE as not correct. Examination of the the code in the ResetAceePtr routine showed that the routine was passing the address of the ACEE table entry, rather than the address of the ACEE, to RACF.Problem conclusion The code in ResetAceePtr was changed to pass the address of the ACEE to be returned to RACF, rather than the address of the ACEE table entry. APAR PQ87299 is associated with SERVICE LEVEL W502007 of WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS.Temporary fix Comments
