How to order a PTF from the Web:
1. Go to the APAR Table for your release of WebSphere® Application Sever for z/OS:
- APAR/PTF Table for WebSphere Application Server for
z/OS V6.1.0
- APAR/PTF Table for WebSphere Application Server for
z/OS V6.0.1
- APAR/PTF Table for WebSphere Application Server for
z/OS V5.1
- APAR/PTF Table for WebSphere Application Server for
z/OS V5.0
- APAR/PTF Table for WebSphere Business Integration
Server Foundation for z/OS V5.1
- APAR/PTF Table for WebSphere Extended Deployment for
z/OS V6.0.1
2. Click the click here link in the description column. This takes
you to the APAR text.
3. Click Obtain the fix for this APAR.
4. Click on the PTF number link to get to the Get zSeries
related fix Web site.
5. In the first column under zSeries TechSupport, click electronic
delivery. This is available worldwide and does not require a service
agreement.
6. On the next screen, provide your IBM ID and password to sign in.
7. Answer the questions related to delivery of the PTF.
- For example:
- ship fixes for known PTF's in error
- ship superseding PTF's
- pre-requisites, co-requisites and if-requisites.
- YES is the default setting for these
questions.
- Type your email address, then click
Continue.
8. On the next screen, click Submit to complete the request.
You receive two emails from bldml:
- Confirmation of request.
- Download instructions for the FTP site and the location of
the PTF.
