Error description After applying w500103, users are not able to advance past step 2 in the cluster creation process when they have selected 'Select an existing server to add to this cluster' at step 1. The application forces them to add at least one other 'New Cluster Member' before they can advance.Local fix Choose to add one additional new cluster member during step 2 of the creation process.Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In the administration console, users * * are not able to get past step 2 in the * * cluster creation panels in some * * instances. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** In the administration console on z/OS if you do the following: 1) navigate to: Servers > Clusters collection view. 2) Click on the New button. 3) Enter a new cluster name and hit the Next button on the step 1. 4) On step 2 panel, select an Existing application server and then hit the Next button. Then, a message "The Apply button must be clicked before go to the next step." is displayed which disallows users to go to the next step to finish the creation.Problem conclusion The selection of the APPLY button in the step 2 should not be required. Thefore, the requirement of "The Apply button must be clicked before go to the next step." has been removed from the step 2 panel of the new cluster creation panels.
