The following exception was logged parm1= java.lang.NullPointerException at com.ibm.ws390.tx.jts.CurrentImpl.suspend (CurrentImpl.java:318) at com.ibm.ws.webservices.engine.transport. TransactionSuspender.suspendTransaction (TransactionSuspender.java:60) at com.ibm.ws.webservices.engine.transport.jms. JMSSender.invoke(JMSSender.java:159) at com.ibm.ws.webservices.engine.PivotHandlerWrapper .invoke(PivotHandlerWrapper.java:217) at com.ibm.ws.webservices.engine.WebServicesEngine .invoke(WebServicesEngine.java:258) at com.ibm.ws.webservices.engine.client.Connection .invokeEngineOneWay(Connection.java:722) at com.ibm.ws.webservices.engine.client.Connection .invoke(Connection.java:602) at com.ibm.ws.webservices.engine.client.Connection .invoke(Connection.java:434) at com.ibm.ws.webservices.engine.client.Stub$Invoke .invoke(Stub.java:666) at com.ibm.ws.wsfvt.test.newsserver .NGConsumerJMSSoapBindingStub .postMessage (NGConsumerJMSSoapBindingStub.java:76) at com.ibm.ws.wsfvt.test.newsclient.NGClient .main(NGClient.java:230) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Native Method) at com.ibm.websphere.client.applicationclient .launchClient.createContainerAndLaunchApp (launchClient.java:616) at com.ibm.websphere.client.applicationclient .launchClient.main(launchClient.java:420) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Native Method) at com.ibm.ws.bootstrap.WSLauncher.main (WSLauncher.java:104) The Webservices engine attempts to suspend a transaction which may be running on the current thread. However since the work was initated from a J2EE Application Client, there is no transaction associated at that point and a java.lang.NullPointerException is thrown. (MD20035) <WAS_HOME>/WebServicesGatewayTechPreview/* is doubly-encoded in ascii. As a result, key files such as all properties, shell-scripts, language files, etc fail to load/run properly.Problem conclusion APAR PQ88944 fixes various defects in WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS. (MD18798) This problem has been resolved by ensuring that the expected absence of a transaction context is properly handled. (MD20035) All files within the <WAS_HOME>/WebservicesGatewayTechPreview directory are now shipped in the proper encoding. In addition, the Webservices Gateway has also been rolled up to be equivalent to WebSphere Application Server for Distributed 5.02.3 level of code. Therefore, the following APARs have also been resolved: PQ73970 Arrays are incorrectly deserialized when running through the Web Services Gateway PQ75913A NullPointerException occurs in WSIFOperation_JCA, plus 4 other problems PQ77768 Setting up the UDDI Registry to use DB2 within a deployment manager cell - 9/03 (doc apar) PQ78763 Moving and renaming of component wsif.compat from Enterprise to Base/ND. PQ79669 WSDL publised by gateway - incorrect for multiple faults PQ79693 SOAP headers are lost by WSGW SOAPHTTPChannel PQ79940 Updates to translated files PQ79943 Corrections to save/restore PQ79945 Security Headers incorrectly passed through Web Services Gateway APAR PQ88944 is associated with SERVICE LEVEL W502009 of WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS.Temporary fix Comments
