Problem(Abstract) |
When WebSphere®'s Web Service Engine sends XML data
strings longer than 2000 characters, it puts them inside a CDATA tag; the
SOAP engine doesn't parse large data strings. |
|
|
|
Cause |
Microsoft®'s .NET doesn't recognize this tag and issues an
exception when trying to parse the SOAP packet. |
|
|
Resolving the
problem |
The CDATA type is standard XML and doesn't violate any
specifications. To avoid this problem, Microsoft's .NET must be able to
understand the CDATA tag when trying to deserialize the SOAP message.
This problem is not caused by WebSphere.
