Error description Full file system results in config sync deleting theLocal fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Having a full filesystem could cause * * a node synchronization to delete all * * the applications on that node. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** If the <was_home>/DeploymentManager/config/temp directory does not have enough space available while performing a Node Synchronization, the subsequent failure while trying to read serverindex.xml could cause the removal of all applications on the node being synchronized. Messages that may be seen: ADMR0104E: Unable to read document named cells/<cell>/nodes/<node>/serverindex.xml java.io.IOException: EDC5129I No such file or directory. (errno2=0x05620062) at java.io.UnixFileSystem.createFileExclusively(Native Method) at java.io.File.checkAndCreate(File.java:1334) at java.io.File.createTempFile(File.java:1422)Problem conclusion The exception handling code for Node Synchronization has been corrected to handle the insufficent space condition properly.
