![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description In a cluster configuration, the plug-in did not recognize a failing server and mark this server down. Another server was not selected which was actually working. The requests contain a JSESSIONID cookie which is compared to the cloneID and this matched the stopped server. The plug-in tries to connec to the SSL port, this fails because the server is down. ConnectionTimeout is being ignored.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In some cases the WebSphere HTTP Plugin * * for z/OS is not handling the server * * failover correctly. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The HTTP Plugin for z/OS is not marking a server down in some cases of a connection failure, therefore requests are not passed on to the next available server correctly.Problem conclusion Changed the code of the HTTP Plugin for z/OS to recognize those situations where the Plugin is not handling the server failover correctly. APAR PK01423 is associated with SERVICE LEVEL W502025 of WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS.Temporary fix Comments
