Error description When the servant region of a server abends during the server initialization leaving only the controller region active, the admin console will report that server as started despite it not being in a state ready to service requests.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WebSphere Administrative Console * * indicates incorrect status for servers * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** WebSphere Administrative Console indicates active status for servers on the Application Servers panel before the servers are ready to service requests. This problem is caused by the server state being set to started before the minimum number of Servants are finished starting.Problem conclusion Code was updated to wait for minimum number of Servants to finish starting before setting the server's state to started.
