![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Postinstaller will print out the STEPLIB environment variable in applyPTF.out if there are post install actions to be run, and there is a STEPLIB environment variable.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V6.0.1 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Post-Installer logs do not indicate * * the value of STEPLIB environment * * variable. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Post-Installer logs do not indicate the value of STEPLIB environment variable. If the WebSphere Application Server environment is configured to run from steplib, the BPXBATCH process the post-installer is running in will use the STEPLIB environment variable. Its value is not reflected in any of the post-installer logs, requiring additional files outside the post-installer logs to be collected and referenced to check for a valid runtime environment.Problem conclusion The code has been updated to display the current value of STEPLIB in the post-installer log files (i.e. applyPTF.out) when the post-installer has processing to do. Please note the STEPLIB variable displayed only applies to the value of the STEPLIB environment variable set in <WAS_HOME>/profiles/default/bin/setupCmdLine.sh. This value applies to all WebSphere scripts that run from OMVS. The MVS server processes are controlled by the STEPLIB setup in the server proc. APAR PK52650 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service Level (Fix Pack) 6.0.2.27 of WebSphere Application Server V6.0.1 for z/OS.Temporary fix Comments
