![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description The customer has many application servers per node. When the customer attempts to perform node synchronization, he experiences delays while waiting for the function to complete. The customer experiences times up to 4-5 minutes when attempting to deploy an application and then to perform a node synchronization, for example. This z/OS APAR also addresses problems described in distributed APAR PQ93427.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V5.0 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: On nodes with many application servers, * * application deployment is slow. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When a node is configured with many application servers the application deployment is slow. This delay is caused by the node sync taking longer to complete than normal.Problem conclusion The node sync processing was changed to more efficiently process the notifications and queries sent to the application servers. APAR PK17950 is associated with SERVICE LEVEL W502038 of WebSphere Application Server V5.0 for z/OS.Temporary fix Comments
