![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description During WebSphere for z/OS Customization, the user enters 'ORB Listener host name' and 'HTTP transport host name'. This information is entered in the 'Server Customization (3 of 4)' panel, (panelid BBOWPS33). The panel will accept 'alpha' characters, but the information MUST be the 'dotted decimal' address for the above 2 (ORB, and HTTP Transport) 'hosts', or a single asterisk '*'. The 'Node host name' field on this panel will accept either 'alpha.alpha' format or 'dotted decimal' format. Various errors will be encountered if they are not the dotted decimal address. Example #1: When running the IVT batch job, BPXBATCH SH /Was5DB2T/V5R0M0/AppServer/bin/ivt.sh -p 9080 1> /tmp/ivt. READY END READY BBOHFSWR '/tmp/ivt.out' IVTL0095I: defaulting to host eportal-test and port 9080 IVTL0010I: Connecting to the WebSphere Application Server eportal-test...... IVTL0015I: WebSphere Application Server eportal-test is running on port..... IVTL0130E: WebSphere Application Server eportal-test is not responding..... IVTL0135E: WebSphere Application Server installation could not be verif..... java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://eportal-test:9080/ivt/ivtserver?p . In this case, the 'node host name' was specified as: eportal-test.xxxxx.org during the customization dialog. . Instead of the above symptoms, you may also observe the controller region failing to start with the following two sets of messages: a) In the application controller region: BBOO0035W TERMINATING THE CURRENT PROCESS, REASON=C9C2127D. along with BBOO0006E WEBSPHERE FOR Z/OS PROCESS SERVER1 ENDED ABNORMALLY REASON=C9C21236. b) In the WebSphere error log (or sysout of joblog if no error log has been configured): BBOO0040E Function inet_addr failed with RV=-1, RC=0, RSN=0594003D, [EDC5000I No error occurred.
