![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description During migration of a federated node, a syncNode.log file is produced in the HFS. The log indicates that detailed tracing is enabled. The trace spec visible in the syncNode.log is Current trace specification = *=info:com.ibm.*=allLocal fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V6.1 for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WebSphere Application Server V6.1 for * * z/OS customers migrating a federated * * node (Application Server install), with * * the migration tracing disabled will see * * tracing from the syncNode action at a * * level of *=info. This may place too * * many lines into the joblog. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** To facilitate debugging of problems, migration traces the syncNode action by default to prevent customers from needing to rerun migration with tracing enabled if a problem occurs. This can cause customers on WebSphere Application Server V6.1 for z/OS to experience problems if too many lines are traced to the joblog.Problem conclusion Migration code has been modified such that for WebSphere Application Server V6.1 for z/OS if migration tracing is disabled during a federated node migration, then the syncNode action will not be called with the -trace option. APAR PK40329 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.9 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1 for z/OS.Temporary fix Comments
