Error description
Apar
PQ84216 fixed a problem where numerous exceptions
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError (in controller region) and
java.rmi.MarshalException (in servant region) in a
multi-homed environment during security mbean discovery
caused the servant region to fail to initialize successfully.
Once
PQ84216 fixed the problem, one pair of expected
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError and java.rmi.MarshalException
exceptions remained. Service level W502004 apar
PQ85550
(MD19208) removes any expected java.rmi.MarshalException
stack traces from surfacing.
.
This apar will remove the remaining expected pair of
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError and java.rmi.MarshalException
during servant region initialization.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IIOP requests to initial services *
* such as NameService do not failover to *
* another server if the original server *
*                      becomes unavailable.                    *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
Initial services are located by sending an IIOP locate request
to the bootstrap application server configured for the client.
Websphere for z/OS sends a locate reply that the initial service
object is here. Therefore the client sends all IIOP requests
for the initial service to the bootstrap server. If the
bootstrap server becomes unavailable, it is not possible for
IIOP requests to the initial service to failover to another
server.
Problem conclusion
Websphere for z/OS is changed to return an object forward locate
reply to the locate request for an initial service. The reply
contains an indirect IOR for the initial service. If the
bootstrap server fails, the client issues a new locate request
using the indirect IOR and can be directed to another server.

APAR PQ86116 is associated with SERVICE LEVEL W502006 of
