SECJ0371E: Validation of the token failed
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
The token cannot be validated because the token has expired. After the time out is reached, the token is not validated and you must authenticate again. This is normal processing.

Cause
The LTPA token has expired

Resolving the problem
Ensure that all the WebSphere® Application Server for z/OS® nodes and cells are synchronized with respect to time, date and time zone. Change the token expiration time if required.

Follow these instructions to set your LTPA token timeout value:

  1. From the administrative console, go to Security > Authentication Mechanisms > LTPA > timeout
  2. The default value is 120; you can increase this value to 1200.

Note: If you require additional information regarding your system and security, you can turn on security tracing through the administrative console. To do this, turn the following tracing on:
com.ibm.ws.security.*=all=enabled
You can now see detailed security tracing.
