* the value of STEPLIB environment *
*                      variable.                               *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
Post-Installer logs do not indicate the value of STEPLIB
environment variable. If the WebSphere Application Server
environment is configured to run from steplib, the BPXBATCH
process the post-installer is running in will use the STEPLIB
environment variable. Its value is not reflected in any of the
post-installer logs, requiring additional files outside the
post-installer logs to be collected and referenced to check for
a valid runtime environment.
Problem conclusion
The code has been updated to display the current value of
STEPLIB in the post-installer log files (i.e. applyPTF.out)
when the post-installer has processing to do.
Please note the STEPLIB variable displayed only applies to the
value of the STEPLIB environment variable set in
<WAS_HOME>/profiles/default/bin/setupCmdLine.sh. This value
applies to all WebSphere scripts that run from OMVS. The MVS
server processes are controlled by the STEPLIB setup in the
server proc.
