![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Customer is receiveing 500 error when customer disconnects or hits refresh before the webserver has finished writing the request. Customer wants error message changed so that a 400 is returned instead of a 500.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server version 4.0 * * users of the webserver plugins. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The plugin was returning error 500 to * * the webserver when the client failed * * to send the POST content. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When the client failed to send the POST content to the webserver, the plugin would end up returning error 500 to the webserver. This would show up in the access logs of the webserver.Problem conclusion Changed the plugin so that it returns error 400(Bad Request) to the webserver when the client fails to send the full POST content.Temporary fix A fix was delivered to the customer in the form of PQ70292_eFix_ AEServer_AEsServer.jarComments
