Problem(Abstract)
The Tivoli® Performance Viewer that ships with IBM® WebSphere® Application Server can be installed as a stand-alone utility.
 
Resolving the problem
To install only the stand-alone Tivoli Performance Viewer:
  1. Use the WebSphere Application Server CD or Install Image.

  2. If the installation wizard detects another copy of WebSphere Application Server installed, select the option to install a new copy and enter an installation directory for the stand-alone Tivoli Performance Viewer.

  3. On the menu to select the features to install, select only Performance and Analysis Tools.

  4. Apply fix packs or cumulative fixes to upgrade the Tivoli Performance Viewer to the same version as the Base or Network Deployment Edition node or deployment manager that will be monitored.
