PQ74797: Version number is incorrectly reported in BASE.product file after Fix Pack 1 is installed then uninstalled.

5.0.2: WebSphere Application Server Version 5.0 Fix Pack 2 (Version 5.0.2)



APAR status
Closed as program error.

Error description
Customer reports installing WAS 5.0, then applying Fix Pack 1.
Customer then uninstalled Fix Pack 1.  After doing so, the
BASE.product file reports the version as 5.0.1.  Customer
expects version number to have been set back to 5.0.0.
Customer received no errors during the uninstall, and the log
files did not report any problems.
Local fix
No known workaround.  Consultation with developers indicates
that there is a problem in the way which WAS / updateInstaller
reports the version number.
