Server1 will not start after migrating from V4 to V5

Problem(Abstract)
After migrating from WebSphere® Application Server V4 to V5, server1 will not start. This can happen when installation or migration is not done using the default install directory. When the V4 directory structure is deleted following migration, server1 will not start.
 
Cause
The Server.xml file in the V5 configuration repository is not updated correctly.
 
Resolving the problem
The workingdirectory entry in the server.xml directory is not migrated correctly. Edit the server.xml file and correct this entry to reference the new V5 directory structure.
