Configuring WebSphere® MQ ConnectionFactory for the transport type 'Client' (TCP/IP connection)
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
How do I configure WebSphere MQ ConnectionFactory to use TCP/IP?

Cause
To allow proper authorization for remote or local users (JMSAPI Client) which require Process Choreographer JMS services using an MQ Connection Factory (CF), the CF Transport Type must be set to Client mode - which means it uses a TCP/IP connection.

Resolving the problem
To set up an MQ Connection Factory with Transport Type Client you also need a channel name and a port number. These two values correspond directly to the ServerConnectionChannel definitions and the Listener definitions that have to be set up in parallel with the WebSphere MQ Explorer and WebSphere MQ Services.

The ServerConnectionChannel setup requires a Message Channel Agent User. This user has to be defined in the operating system registry, and is also assigned the JMSAPI Client user role accessing BPEContainer via JMS.
