Error description
Allow cross release serialization / deserialization of J2C
Local fix Problem summary
****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server users of *
* JDBC, JCA and JMS Connections *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This apar unifies the object *
* identifiers used for Connection *
* Manager resources on WebSphere *
* Application Serve. *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: *
****************************************************************
In order to prevent future problems when serializing
Connection Manager objects we needed to update the
serialization identifiers. This APAR does not change the
behavior of the ConnectionManager code except during
serialization (which is rare).
Problem conclusion
Removed extraneous serialVersionUIDs for objects that are not
serialized, and provided consistent serialVersionUIDs for
objects which are serialized.
The fix for this APAR is currently targetted for inclusion
in 5.02.11 and 5.1.1.4.
