Listing all modules installed on an application server using the wsadmin script
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
The WebSphere® Application Server V5.0 administrative console page does not provide a convenient way to view installed Web and Enterprise JavaBeans ™(EJB™) modules. The following wsadmin script displays this information.

Resolving the problem
The V5.0 administrative console does not provide a convenient way to view the installed Web and enterprise bean modules for an Application Server. The distribution of modules across Application Servers has to be derived by exploring the modules that make up each enterprise application and the module target mappings. This situation makes it difficult to quickly understand, for example, the implications of stopping a particular Application Server in a production environment.

The attached wsadmin script (List_Modules.txt) displays the installed modules for a particular Application Server. The comments at the beginning describe what it does and how to use it.

The easiest way to invoke this script is to copy and paste it into a .jacl file, and then invoke it from the wsadmin tool, as described in the comments.

Please note that an additional argument (node name) is required for running this in an ND environment. See the comments in the script for details.
