APAR status Closed as program error. Error description - Tested use of eFixInstaller as currently available from website: Jar dated 12/6/2002 - When Installer prompts to specify location of eFixes, the browse dialog NEVER shows an install image. As a result, it is impossible to use the Browse button to specify a directoryLocal fix type in the directory, then press the Scan button to select APAR fixes for installation.Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server users who run * * the GUI Install of the UpdateInstaller * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: UpdateInstaller browse button does not * * allow the user to select the directory * * where the fixes reside. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The problem was the UpdateInstaller was pointing to the correct directory using the "browse" feature, but did not display any fixes to install.Problem conclusion The code has been changed in the UpdateInstaller to allow the browse button to function properly.Temporary fix Comments
