Abstract
During JSP Servlet handling an IOException is wrapped inside a Servlet exception by the JSP container masking True Exception
 
Download Description
During JSP servlet handling, an IOexception is wrapped inside a ServletException by the JSP container. Therefore, the exception handling code will not see the IOException unless they unwrap the ServletException.

USERS AFFECTED: User application expecting IOException from the Servlet handling will be affected.

JSP container (JspServlet) wrapped the IOException with a ServletException during the service call. Customer's applications which are expecting to handle the IOException will not be able to handle the IOException unless they unwrap the ServletException.
