Cause
The process templates for the application were not stopped before attempting to uninstall the application.
The key points to remember when trying to uninstall an EAR containing a BPEL process are:
  1. Templates stored in the EJB™ module must be stopped.

  2. All existing instances of the process must be terminated and/or deleted by someone with the BPEL Administrator role using the process choreographer Web client.

  3. The enterprise application must be stopped.

Resolving the problem
Follow the instructions for Uninstalling Business Process Execution Language(BPEL)-based process applications in the WebSphere Application Server Information Center.
