Error description
In some rare and remote scenario, the generate file names of the
deployed EJBs, which is based on the EJB's specification, have
collided and caused the bean not to be deployed. The main cause
of this problem is due to the repeatable nature of the BuzzHash
algorithm when the hash string is greater than 64 characters.
Local fix Problem summary
****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server users who *
* define more than one EJB in an application *
* and if the names and classes used for these *
* EJBs' are very similiar may be affected. *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The generated file names created by *
* deployment tool and used by EJB *
* container are based on the EJB name and *
* the names of the classes implemented *
* by the EJB. The main discriminator for *
* the file name is a hash code based on *
* the EJB specification. In a very *
* rare condition, the hash code has been *
* repeated and caused the observed *
* problem. *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: *
****************************************************************
EJB specifications in the deployment descirptor may cause a
failure in its deployment. This APAR fixes the underlying
hashcode problem used for deployed file name generation.
Problem conclusion
The hash code algorithm used in the deployed file name
generation has been enhanced to accommodate the repeated
nature of the algorithm.
