The windows service fails to work properly throwing error 1053
timeout error.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. MMC: Could not stop the IBM          *
*                      WebSphere Application Server V5 -       *
*                      server1 service on Local Computer.      *
*                      Error 1053: The service did not         *
*                      respond to the start or control         *
*                      request in a timely fashion.            *
*                      2. The Windows event log shows:         *
*                      Event ID: 7011                          *
*                      Description: Timeout (30000             *
*                      milliseconds) waiting for a             *
*                      transaction response from the           *
*                      IBMWAS5Service - server1 service.       *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

The error may occur during the start of the service because of
a hardcoded timeout value in the windows service control
manager.  The error may occur during the stop of the service
due to a programming error.
Problem conclusion
If the server takes over a minute to complete its start
sequence, the service will go to the "started" state with the
stop functionality disabled to avoid the 1053 error.  After
the server's start sequence is successfully completed the
service will enable the stop functionality upon a refresh of
the services dialog.
