Error description
Basically, In the step for mapping conn factory to 2.x
CMP beans even if
no JNDI name is specified the install code still creates an
empty conn
factory with an empty JNDI name .. this is diff from 5.0 and
5.0.1 ..
if JNDI name is not specified then it should not create a conn
factory.
Local fix
Manully editing the mapping files.
Problem summary
****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: Users deploying applications using 2.0 CMP *
* beans will have a connection factory *
* created by default for each EJB even *
* if JNDI name is not specified. *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The default datasource mapping for *
* modules containing 2.0 CMP beans *
* cannot be used because installing an *
* application without specifying a JNDI *
* name over rides existing bindings *
* with an empty JNDI connection factory. *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: *
****************************************************************
Creating an empty connection factory by default changed the
behaviour that existed in 5.0 and 5.0.1.
Problem conclusion
Restore behaviour to prevent unconditional overriding of
datasource mappings.
Temporary fix
Test is available. Final fix to be offered in 5.0.2.3 service p
ack.
