![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Under stress, the webserver IBM HTTP Server restarts itself due to segmentation fault in the plug-in module. This happens only when ESI (Edge Side Include) is enabled and cache overflow occursLocal fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of HTTP server plug-in. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The web server automatically * * restarts during stress test. * * * * This happens when Edge Side Include * * caching is enabled. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When there is a cache over flow ESI caching was bypassed in all cases. This resulted in some internal headers not getting computed correctly resulting in a restart. Instead ESI should be bypassed only if the current request is same as the original user request.Problem conclusion Edge Side Include (ESI) caching is processed correctly so that it is not bypasssed in all cases.Temporary fix Comments
