* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Exceptions thrown during the *
* serialization of a fault are discarded. *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: *
****************************************************************
During the serialization of a SOAPFault, if an exception
occurs, the existing code will discard the fault and return
an incomplete SOAP response to the client. On the client
side, this will appear as a SAXParseException because an
invalid XML document is returned.
This fix addresses the problem by throwing the fault instead
of discarding it and then returning an HTTP 500 status
(Internal Server Error) to the client.
Problem conclusion
This fix is targetted for the 5.1.1.4 and WAS 5.0.2.11
service packs.
