How to configure and use your own client-config.wsdd file?
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
There may be a need for clients to configure and use their own client-config.wsdd file. IBM® WebSphere® Application Server product also ships with client-config.wsdd file packaged in wsif.jar file.

Resolving the problem
Under normal classloader scenerio it should be packaged as part of your application within the war module (WEB-INF\classes directory) and the classloader mode for the war module set to PARENT_LAST. However, websphere will always load and use the client-config.wsdd file packaged within the wsif.jar file. The wsif.jar file is located in websphere application servers lib folder (WASROOT\lib). The only known workaround at present is to open the wsif.jar file and replace the client-config.wsdd file in it with the one that you want to use.
