Error description
Memory Leak when running mod_ibm_ldap.so with
IBM_HTTP_Server/2.0.47.1-
PK13230 on AIX 5.2.0.0
(developer reported that 2 issues identified)
Local fix
N/A
Problem summary
Two memory use defects are addressed by this
APAR:
1) LDAP search results for group memberships that have a
breadth of more than 1 search group were not freed, resulting in
a memory leak.
2) Some memory allocated during LDAP request processing is not
freed immediately, resulting in a memory leak. That same
memory is not allocated in a thread-safe manner, resulting in
incorrect processing or crashes under load.
Problem conclusion
The returned LDAP search information is
freed. The use of a long-lived, unthreadsafe pool has been
corrected.
