installed by running a script supplied with the interim fix. However, you

Resolving the
problem |
Here are the steps to manually install a GSKit interim fix
on Windows® platforms using GSKit 7.0 as an example. Prior to
installation, check the GSKit version on the Windows box. The GSKit
version can be found in the Registry under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\GSK7\CurrentVersion
- Download the interim fix and save it in C:\temp.
- Unzip the interim fix to expose gsk7bas.exe.
- In a command prompt window, cd to C:\temp, and type this command to
extract the GSKit images:
gsk7bas C:\temp /Q /D
- In the same command prompt window, type this command to install GSKit:
setup.exe
or
setup.exe gsk7bas -s -f1 setup.iss
- Check the GSKit version again to verify that the new GSKit installed
properly.
A recently released GSKit cumulative fix includes fixes for the following
APARs:
- For GSKit 7.0: PK02947
- For GSKit 5.0: PK02944
