 Downloadable files

Abstract
After PQ69629, the request object is not being reset, when it comes back from forwarded page to the forwarding page.

Download Description

USERS AFFECTED:
WebSphere® Application Server users of servlets and JavaServer Pages™.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
WebSphere incorrectly returns Request Path Element values when returning from a RequestDispatcher.forward() method call.
WebSphere does not reset the state of the HttpServletRequest object when returning from a RequestDispatcher.forward() method call. This results in incorrect return values for HttpServletRequest.getPathInfo(), HttpServletRequest.getRequestURI() and HttpServletRequest.getServletPath() upon returning control to the calling Servlet or JSP.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
Modified the handling of HttpServletRequest path elements to properly handle the restoring of these elements when returning from a RequestDispatcher.forward().
