Problem(Abstract) |
After adding data in UDDI and clicking Publish, then
clicking Show own entities, a popup window in the browser shows following
message:
A severe error occurred. Please check the following information.
Advice: While showing owned entities an unexpected error occurred.
Advice: Please contact your system administrator.
And the SystemOut.log has the following message:

Cause |
You are not prompted for a user name and password as
expected and authentication fails.
While global security is enabled, server specific security is disabled
for the server hosting the UDDI application.

Resolving the
problem |
Enable security for the server hosting the UDDI
application.
- From the administrative console, select:
- Servers > yourserver > Server Security > Server Level
Security
- Check the box next to "Enabled" and restart the server.
You are now prompted for a username and password when trying to publish
to the UDDI database.
