PQ68400, 5.0.0: Incorrect percentUsed value in 4.0 datasource
 Downloadable files

Abstract
Under Load, the WebSphere® Application Server V4.0 datasource counters miscount.

Download Description
USERS AFFECTED:
WebSphere Application Server Performance Monitoring Infrastructure (PMI) users who want to monitor the performance data for a 4.0 datasource in V5.0.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Under heavy workload, the percentUsed value in 4.0 datasource may be negative.
4.0 connection manager passed wrong parameters to PMI. As a result, the number of connections released could be greater than the number of connections allocated, resulting in a negative percentUsed.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
Instead of using the numbers passed by connection manager, PMI tracks related numbers itself. This fixes the problem.
