Abstract
WebSphere® Application Server V5.0.2 Cumulative Fix for IBM® SDK can be applied to any WebSphere Application Server V5.0.2 installation.

This SDK 1.3.1 Cumulative Fix was tested with V5.0.2.15.

Applying this cumulative fix will upgrade your Java™ SDK to 1.3.1 level, as follows:

Microsoft® Windows®, Linux Intel, Linux® PPC, Linux® zSeries, or AIX® platforms will be upgraded to Java SDK 1.3.1 Java Technology Edition SR9.

Solaris® will be upgraded to Java SDK 1.3.1 Java Technology Edition SR16a.

HPUX will be upgraded to Java SDK 1.3.1 Java Technology Edition SR17.

Customers who have previously downloaded the Windows or Linux Intel versions of this Cumulative fix should refer to the following technote for additional information:
V5.0.2 Cumulative Fix for SDKs might contain incorrect prerequisite information and SDK build.

This cumulative fix is applicable to WebSphere Application Server V5.0.2. This includes configurations where Application Server cumulative fixes have been installed. For more details on the role of cumulative fixes, see the V5.0 and V5.1 Cumulative Fix Strategy for WebSphere Application Server.

Using UpdateInstaller to apply a cumulative fix:
  • Use the Install Fix Pack option to install your cumulative fix.
  • Installing a cumulative fix uninstalls all interim fixes previously installed.
  • For silent install, use the -fixpack option on the command line or fixpack=true in a response file.

Prerequisites
Install V5.0.2 Cumulative Fix for SDKs on top of WebSphere Application Server Version 5.0.2 or V5.0.2 cumulative fix.

Download the latest UpdateInstaller tool (see below in the Installation instructions section) to install V5.0.2 Cumulative Fix for Java SDKs.
