UNIX user can only access files in its primary group, not secondary groups
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
When IBM WebSphere Application Server is run as a UNIX user, the server can only access files owned by the user's primary group. When trying to access files owned by a secondary group of the user, there will be an access permissions error:

java.io.FileNotFoundException: (The file access permissions do not allow the specified action.)

The documentation to run as a non-root user doesn't explicitly say this, even though it is working as designed.

Resolving the problem
When Application Server is run as a UNIX user, the server can only access files owned by the user or the user's primary group.
