APAR status Closed as program error. Error description The GSkit is not installed with 8.3 naming disabled. It could be because the Gskit will be always installed in c:/program files. It might not able to handle the spaces. The default Gskit installation directory could be changed to "C:\PROGRA~1". Also if there is no "C" drive , the installation should install it in some other directory. WebSphere Application Server 5.0. Gskit,Windows.Local fix Local fix might not be avilable , since it requires installation code change. For now the the 8.3 naming can be enabled and inst all the product.Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users running Windows DOS8.3. The install location must be changed to the short pathname (<drive>:\progra~1) for the installation to work.Problem conclusion Change the install path for GSKIT to use the short pathname instead of the long pathname.Temporary fix Comments
