Problem(Abstract)
A list of databases currently supported by IBM WebSphere Application Server - Express V5.0.2.
 
Resolving the problem
WebSphere Application Server - Express V5.0.2 currently supports the same databases that are supported by WebSphere Application Server Version 5.0.2, as shown in the following list:

Cloudscape 5.0.13 and 5.1.21

DB2 UDB 8.1
DB2 for zSeries 6.1 or 7.1
DB2 Enterprise-Extended Edition 7.2 FP7, FP8, FP9 or FP10
DB2 Enterprise Edition 7.2, FP7, FP8, FP9 or FP10
DB2 Enterprise Server Edition 8.1, FP1, FP2 or FP3
DB2 Workgroup Edition 7.2 FP7, FP8, FP9 or FP10
DB2 Workgroup Server Edition 8.1, 8.1 FP1, FP2, or FP3
DB2 UDB for iSeries, 4.5, 5.1
DB2 UDB for OS/390 6, 7
DB2 UDB Express Edition 8.1

Oracle 8i Standard/Enterprise Rel3 - 8.1.7 or 8.1.7.4
Oracle 9i Standard/Enterprise Rel2 - 9.2, 9.2.0.2, or 9.2.0.3

For current database support for WebSphere Studio Site Developer (the development tooling component in Websphere Application Server - Express), see the readme for Site Developer.
