Error description
SimpleType is deserialized incorrectly as null
Local fix Problem summary
****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: Anyone who has an <xsd:extension> or *
* <xsd:restriction> of a simple type *
* in their schema. *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SimpleTypes are deserialized as null *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: *
****************************************************************
When a <xsd:simpleType> is created as a restiction on either
xsd:date or xsd:dateTime, a SimpleType bean is created. In
certain cases, when these types are sent across the wire,
they will be deserialized as being null.
This APAR corrects this behavior and allows the params to be
properly deserialized.
Problem conclusion
This fix is targetted for the 5.1.1.4 and 5.0.2.11 service
packs.
