Error description
Environment :
Websphere Application Server 5.X
Multiple Platform
Security Enabled.
With PME Installed.
When running a syncNode , a bad error message is displayed if an
invalid userID/password is specified. It throws product
version mismatch exception instead of invalid credentials.
On the application server node,
cd /opt/WebSphere/AppServer/bin
./syncNode.sh <NDM HOST> <SOAP PORT> -username <USERID>
-password <PASSWORD>
If we typo on the username or password, the syncNode returns
this error:
ADMU0116I: Tool information is being logged in file
/opt/WebSphere/AppServer/logs/syncNode.log
ADMU0401I: Begin syncNode operation for node LAB01lplwa001a with
Deployment Manager ndm_lab01: 25151
ADMU0111E: Program exiting with error:
com.ibm.websphere.management.exception.AdminException:
ADMU2092E:
The node and Deployment Manager must have the same
product
extensions, but they do not match. The node product
extension is
PME and the Deployment Manager product extension is
BASE.
ADMU0211I: Error details may be seen in the file:
/opt/WebSphere/AppServer/logs/syncNode.log
ADMU1211I: To obtain a full trace of the failure, use the -trace
option.
Local fix
This problem is caused because of an unhandled exception when
requesting for the product version of the dmgr with the invalid
