Selecting the wrong updateInstaller option can produce errors when installing fix packs or fixes

Problem(Abstract)
When using the updateInstaller to install V5.0 fixes or fix packs, take care to select the correct option for the type of fix you are installing. Selecting the wrong one can result in an error similar to the following:

"There is no installable fixes to be installed to the currently installed product"
 
Cause
When using the updateInstaller to apply fix packs or fixes, be sure to select the correct option for the type of fix you are installing. There are 4 options:
  1. Install fixpack
  2. Uninstall fixpack
  3. Install fixes
  4. Uninstall fixes


If you download a fix for installation, but select "Install fixpack" from the menu, an error results.
 
Resolving the problem
Run the updateInstaller again, and select the correct option for the type of fix you are installing.
