Removing files from <was_root>/properties/version/backup, undo.jar files
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
As a last resort to save disk space, it is possible, but not recommended, to delete the backup files created after the installation of a fix pack or cumulative fix.

Cause
The backup files created during the installation of a fix pack or cumulative allow you in the future to remove the fix pack or cumulative fix you just installed. By deleting these files it will be impossible for you to remove this fix pack or cumulative fix in the future. The undo jar files represent the state of your system before the installation/upgrade took place. When these files are removed, the Update Installer has no way to determine what level to take your system back to.

Example of the files in question :

<was_root>/properties/version/backup /20050509_*_was50_fp2_linux_*_undo.jar

Resolving the problem
NOTE : Once you have deleted the undo jar files, for the fix pack or cumulative fix they represent, the only way to remove the fix pack or cumulative fix from your system will be to totally uninstall and reinstall the product.

Delete the <was_root>/properties/version/backup/...undo.jar files for the specific fix pack or cumulative.
