Download Description
This fix is SUPERCEDED by PQ88973. Please download PQ88973 from the
following location:
This is an interim fix. Interim fixes are uninstalled when a
cumulative fix is installed, such as V5.0.2.3. WebSphere® Application
Server cumulative fixes do not contain Java™ Software Developer Kit (SDK)
upgrades. Therefore, this interim fix must be reinstalled after installing
a cumulative fix.
To view the upgrade policy and to verify the version of the Java SDK that
is shipped with your version of WebSphere Application Server, see the
links in the Prerequisites section.
The following Java SDK APARs and defects are included in SDK 1.3.1 SR6:
pq81989: Summary of following defects
61071: CPU utilization reaches 100%. All available CPU resources
consumed because of a Just in Time (JIT) Compiler that incorrectly
converts Java code to byte code.
61404: Java process hangs. The Java process running WebSphere
Application Server stops processing servlets because of a JIT Compiler
error.
62574: After enabling Java profiling from WebSphere Studio Application
Developer, the Java process hangs.
63969: The Java process that is running WebSphere Application Server
fails after the JIT Compiler experiences a memory usage error.
pq76093: IBM WebSphere Application Server may experience a hang or
crash in this environment which is caused by locking issues with the level
0 heapdump command from the JVMPI interface.
USERS AFFECTED:
WebSphere Application Server V4.0.3 or later users who are
experiencing SDK related problems and need to upgrade to SDK 1.3.1 SR6 for
platforms where IBM delivers a Developer Kit, SR11 for the Sun® platform,
and SR 13 for the HP-UX platform.
