 White paper

Abstract
You are a developer interested in utilizing JCL support outside of what IBM® WebSphere® Application Server already provides within its Java™ 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE™) applications. Areas of interest might include utilizing the Log4J or Java 2 SDK V1.4 logging support provided by JCL, utilizing proprietary JCL support, and integrating a higher version of JCL.

Content
The attached article provides instructions and suggestions for configuring the features of WebSphere Application Server and JCL to integrate application-specific JCL artifacts. The artifacts integrate into the WebSphere Application Server run-time environment, overriding those supplied by WebSphere Application Server. The article assumes that you are familiar with or have access to references to WebSphere Application Server, J2EE application development, and the different logging components.
