Education: Webcast on diagnosing WebSphere Application Server hang conditions on AIX

Abstract
On September 7, 2006 at 11:00 AM Eastern DST, a WebSphere® Support Technical Exchange presentation on diagnosing WebSphere hang/performance degradation issues will be delivered by Ricky Marley, a subject matter expert.
 
Content
This WebSphere Support Technical Exchange will guide participants on how to use the documentation generated by WebSphere to determine the cause of major performance problems and complete Application Server hang conditions. It will include:
  • Background on the type of documentation needed to properly diagnose the cause of an Application Server hang
  • An in-depth discussion about how to appropriately read javacore files
  • A brief discussion on IBM tools available to aid in the analysis of the documentation

The session will be presented by Ricky Marley, Advisory Software Engineer and WebSphere Application Server Level 2 Support Team Lead. Ricky has been working in the WebSphere Application Server Level 2 Support Team for three years. He is the Team lead for the WebSphere JDK Team and subject matter expert for Application Server hangs, crash, and memory related issues.
