Incorrect documentation of bind-specific behavior for Caching Proxy
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
Correction of an error relating to caching proxy behavior in the following IBM® WebSphere® Application Server documentation: Administration Guide for Caching Proxy.

Symptom
In the Define the server section of the Administration Guide for Caching Proxy, the following statement is incorrect:

"Regardless of which IP address a proxy server is bound to, only one process can listen on a specific port at one time. In other words, each port number is associated with the host computer system, not to the IP address..."

Resolving the problem
If the BindSpecific directive is enabled, Caching Proxy is bound to the port specified by the Port directive along with the IP address derived (or resolved) from the value of the Hostname directive. The port specified by the AdminPort directive is bound to all IP addresses available on the system.
