This technote is regarding prerequisite library for WebSphere® Application Server V5.0.1 on Red Hat Linux® 8.0

Resolving the problem
After installing WebSphere Application Server V5.0.1 on Red Hat Linux 8.0, you might found a problem with IBM® HTTP Server startup:
# ./apachectl start
/opt/IBMHttpServer/bin/httpd: error while loading shared libraries:
libdb.so.3:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
./apachectl start: httpd could not be started

The package contains various versions of Berkeley DB which were included in previous releases of Red Hat Linux.
