Error description DRS causes server to crash.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * using Portal Server with replication enabled * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Hang in data replication server (DRS) * * object replication operations. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A hang in method DRSPools.getUpdJMS is caused by lost notify in wait/notify operations. Sequential javacores/threaddumps show many threads blocked, unchanging, and waiting in method DRSPools.getUpdJMS().Problem conclusion An iFix for this problem was made available for the WebSphere Application Server 5.0.2 and 5.1.1 releases. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in 5.02.13 and 5.1.1.6.
