"Error: unable to load CMNExecutorStart library" server log message starting Load Balancer
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
When you try to start Load Balancer, the following message appears in the server log:

"Error: unable to load CMNExecutorStart library"

Cause
An incompatible Java™ is being used with Load Balancer. This error can occur when an incorrect version of the SDK is installed to run with Load Balancer which causes the dsserver (cbrserver, ccoserver, nalserver or ssserver) to fail to start.

On some supported systems, it is possible to run either a 64-bit JVM or a 32-bit JVM. However, Load Balancer requires a particular version of the SDK.

For example, on a pSeries® server, either the 64-bit or the 32-bit JVM will run. However, Load Balancer v6.0.1 requires the 32-bit JVM.

Resolving the problem
Check the product prerequisites before installing Load Balancer. Link to software and hardware prerequisites for Load Balancer (Edge Components) at the WebSphere Application Server detailed system requirements page.
