APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Template copy for AppServer not copying all the values from original server(template). All information are copied from original Template to new server except "Logging and Tracing" From same node if we try to create new server (using template) It is OK to have different file names. But when we try to create new server on different node it should copy all the values from Template.Local fix Manually modifying the values as requiredProblem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server Version 5 Admin * * console users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When creating a new server based on * * an existing server the names of the * * logs files were not copied. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Create server module (ServerUtilImpl.java) had hardcoded values for logs to overcome another existing problem with improper copying of WebSphere variables.Problem conclusion WebSphere Application Server 5.0.2 contains a fix for the incorrect copying of variables. The code that hardcoded logs files was commented out. Logs are now properly copied.Temporary fix Comments
