For Caching Proxy, tips on configuring the ReversePass directive
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
This document contains tips on configuring the ReversePass directive in the ibmproxy configuration file.

Resolving the problem
The ReversePass directive rewrites the contents of the HTTP location header that is sent from a back-end server. The ReversePass rule has the format:
ReversePass <from URL> <to URL>

For example:
ReversePass http:// web.foo.com/* http:// proxy.foo.com/*

The contents of the <to URL> pattern up to the wild card (*) must match exactly what the back-end server sends in the location header or the rule fails.

For example, if the back-end server sent "http:// proxy/test" in the location header, the above rule fails because proxy.foo.com (defined in the ReversePass rule) does not match proxy (which is sent in the location header).
