  4. How to disable WebSphere Global Security for one Application Server in a secure cell
In a WebSphere Application Server cell where Global Security is enabled, you may want to disable security for individual application servers, e.g. when you run some applications that can be accessed anonymously, while others require authentication.

  5. Deployment of application failed with IWAE0037E exceptions.
When deploying an EAR file from the administrative console the deployment fails with the following message in the systemOut.log.

Previous versions of WebSphere Application Server for UNIX® platforms were shipped in ZIP format. In the past, it was possible to use the Java™ JAR command to open these ZIP files. However, the JAR command breaks links in more recent fix pack images.

  7. Obtaining fix packs and cumulative fixes that are no longer on the support pages
It is recognized that customers might still require fix packs and cumulative fixes that are no longer available as downloads from the WebSphere Application Server support pages. This solution explains how the fix packs and cumulative fixes can be obtained.

This will prevent the WebSphere Application Server product installer from working properly. This script cleans all WebSphere Application Server entries out of AIX ODM VPD to resolve issues installing new instances of the product.
