Problem
Exceptions in SystemOut.log when starting WebSphere® with security enabled.

Authentication failed for user uid=wpsbind,cn=users,ou=abc,dc=nyc,dc=xyx because of the following exception javax.naming.AuthenticationException:
[LDAP: error code 49 - Invalid Credentials]
 
Cause
As noted in the Information Center, User ID's longer than 12 characters cannot be used for authentication to a JMS provider.

Note that there is also a 12 character limit on the password for the MQCD channel.

Solution
Ensure that the users password is no more than 12 characters.
