![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description To setup the UDDI registry in DB2 you need to run the setupdb2uddi.jar file in the <WAS_HOME>/deploymentManager/UDDIRe g/scripts directory. This opens a wizard which ask for the db2 userid and password. This works fine if you are not using the tradition chinese windows 2000 machine. They is an issue where the correct information is not accepted.Local fix Here is a work around on this issue: 1. run setCmdLine.bat 2. run %JAVA_HOME%\bin\java -jar setupdb2uddi.jar -W db2info.userid=[DB2 User ID] -W db2info.password=[DB2 Password] -goto WindowsReplaceDBProblem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server users of UDDI * * Registry. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Valid userid and password are rejected * * as invalid on non-US English DB2 * * installations. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** UDDI Registry DB2 setup wizard was relying on English messages from DB2 command line responses.Problem conclusion The wizard will be made non-dependent upon English return messages.Temporary fix Comments
