WebSphere Application Server V5 installation wizard fails when using network drive
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
When you attempt to install WebSphere Application Server V5 on Microsoft Windows 2000 using a network drive for access to the installation files, you might receive the following message after double-clicking the "install.exe" file on the network drive:

"The wizard cannot continue because of the following error: Could not load wizard specified in /wizard.ins (104)."

This failure occurs before you are prompted to specify the language for the installation, which is very early in the installation procedure.

Resolving the problem
Recovery steps:

1. Cancel the failing installation.

2. Copy all the WebSphere Application Server installation files from the network drive to a local file system on the computer where you want to install WebSphere Application Server.

3. Begin the installation by double-clicking the "install.exe" program, which can be found in the local copy of the installation files.
