![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Inconsistent behavior of xsd:date type fields transformation by WebSphere Web Services consumer in WebSphere V5.1.1.7. . This problem is similar to the APAR PK38290 which fixed a similar problem at the Web Services provider side.Local fix N/A.Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server V5.1.1 users * * of web services. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: java.util.Date being mapped to * * xsd:dateTime * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** java.utilDate is currently being mapped to xsd:dateTime and the customer would like it mapped to xsd:date.Problem conclusion The serializer was changed to map java.util.Date to xsd:date. This new behavior is controlled by a JVM custom property: com.ibm.ws.webservices.useDateFormat The default behavior is the original behavior of mapping to xsd:dateTime If this property is set to true, the behavior will change the mapping to xsd:date. This fix is currently targetted for fixpack 5.1.1.15.
