![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description This WAS V5 APAR belongs to L3 SM team. Intermittently the deployment manager hangs and he is unable to do a stopmgr. customer cannot start the server at this point and has to kill the deployment mgr process.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All WebSphere Application Server users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WebSphere Application Server V5 * * Deployment Manager Administration * * Console hangs * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The root of the problem is LocalNotificationService deadlocks, causing WebSphere to hang. This problem was reported on the deployment manager hanging intermittenly. Customer report he cannot start the server at this point and has to kill the deployment manager process.Problem conclusion This fix resolves the deadlock by removing an unnecessary lock since the operation is already synchronized.Temporary fix Comments
