![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Running the gskit.sh script will return nothing and gskit filesets will not be installed. You may also have run the pkgadd command from the gskit.sh script and run into the following error; # pkgadd -a ./admin -n -d . gsk5bas The following files are already installed on the system and are being used by another package: * /opt/ibm <attribute change only> * - conflict with a file which does not belong to any package. Installation of <gsk5bas> was suspended (administration). No changes were made to the system.Local fix Within the gskit install directory the admin file will contain a variable conflict=quit which needs to be changed it to conflict=nocheck Now pkgadd will not care if there is a /opt/ibm/ directory already created so the install script and manual pkgadd will work.Problem summary GSKit won't install on Solaris with IBM Edge c omponent preinstalled.Problem conclusion Modify the response file for the GSKit solar is install.Temporary fix Within the gskit install directory the admin file will contain a variable conflict=quit which needs to be changed it to conflict=nocheck Now pkgadd will not care if there is a /opt/ibm/ directory already created so the insta manual pkgadd will work.Comments
