Error description
IHS 2.0.42.x and IHS 2.0.47.x was incompatible with certain
GSKit releases due to the use of GSKit within mod_ibm_ssl.
Typical problem symptom would be communication problems between
browser and IHS, with this message in IHS error log:
  SSL0404E: I/O failed, insufficient storage.
Most severe combination of IHS and GSKit versions was IHS
2.0.47.x and GSKit 7.0.3.12.
Local fix Problem summary
IHS didn't properly interact with GSKit on
some send and receive operations. The problems were the
occasional reporting of inappropriate return codes to GSKit
and, separately, calling GSKit for a subsequent send/receive
operation after a fatal error had already occurred. This didn't
affect data integrity. Instead, it caused some connections to
terminate before all I/O was complete and also resulted in some
inaccurate error messages in the IHS error log.
Problem conclusion Temporary fix
an e-fix is availble. see the IHS recommended updates page:
