Problem(Abstract) |
It is legal to have two application servers with the same
name in a horizontally-distributed cluster, as long as they are on
different nodes; however, you might receive an error when you attempt to
add the second server to the cluster. |
|
Cause |
This error is caused by the method by which the IBM®
WebSphere® Application Server Administrative Console uses sessions to keep
track of the configuration. |
|
Resolving the
problem |
You can create a cluster containing two servers with the
same name as long as they are on different nodes; however, if you receive
an error message while trying to do this, use the following instructions
to create a new session.
- Add a server to a cluster.
- Save the configuration.
- Log off the Administrative Console.
- Go back into the cluster configuration and add the second server,
using the same name.
- Save the configuration.
- Log off the Administrative Console.
