All Dispatcher machines must run on same type of operating system and platform when configuring for high availability feature or wide-area networking
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

When using either the high availability feature or wide-area support, the Load Balancer Administration Guide states that all Dispatcher machines in the configuration must be running the same type of operating system. However, if the machines have the same operating system (for example, Linux®) but different platforms (for example, Intel or PPC), neither the high availability feature nor wide-area networking works correctly.

Resolving the problem
The Dispatcher must run on machines with the same operating system and the same platform to support configurations for high availability or wide area networking.
