![]() APAR status Closed as program error. Error description Scheduler tasks do not run when using the Lease Manager and DB2 database. No errors are logged to SystemOut.log or the activity.log. A trace shows the following error: [8/28/03 16:12:06:406 CEST] 20e78120 GenericDataSt > findMappingClass for exception java.sql.SQLException: [IBM][JDBC Driver] CLI0626E Updatable result set is not supported in this version of DB2 JDBC 2.0 driver.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server Enterprise 5.0+ * * users of the Scheduler who have the * * Lease Manager function enabled and * * are using a database that does not support * * updatable result sets. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Scheduled tasks do not run when the * * Lease Manager function is enabled and * * using a database that does not support * * updatable result sets such as DB2 V7. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Scheduled tasks do not run when using the Scheduler with the Lease Manager function enabled and using a database that does not support updatable result sets. There is no failure indication in the SystemOut.log nor in the activity.log files. A trace will show the following error: GenericDataSt > findMappingClass for exception java.sql.SQLException: [IBM][JDBC Driver] CLI0626E Updatable result set is not supported in this version of DB2 JDBC 2.0 driver. Note: The trace information is for DB2 V7, however this type of error can occur with any database that does not support updatable result sets. Also, when creating the Scheduler database tables on 5.0.2, the Lease Manager function is automatically enabled. If the Scheduler database tables were created prior to 5.0.2, then the Lease Manager function is not enabled. There is no user configuration to enable or disable the Lease Manager function. It is enabled or disabled if the Scheduler detects the presence of the Lease Manager tables.Problem conclusion An interim fix as been provided to correct this problem.Temporary fix Comments
