Information about how changes to Daylight Saving Time
(DST) in 2007 affect WebSphere® Edge Server. |

A provision
of the United States Energy Policy Act of 2005 extends DST by four weeks,
beginning in 2007. Several countries (Canada, Bermuda) are also
implementing the same DST change; other countries may decide to make
similar changes to DST rules.
Beginning in 2007, DST start and end dates will be:
- Start date: Second Sunday of March (11 March 2007)
- End date: First Sunday of November (4 November 2007)
Systems or applications that process dates and times could be affected by
this change. If not addressed, time and date calculations could be
incorrect. |
Java™ levels that will be affected by the DST extension have already been
updated in the following cumulative fixes for WebSphere Edge Server:
- Version 5.1.1.70 and higher, on Windows®:
Java is bundled with these releases because IBM removed the download
for non-Lenovo machines.
- Version 5.1 on non-Windows:
Load Balancer does not ship Java with the product, so it is the
responsibility of the customer for making necessary updates to the Java
level. Load Balancer does not require any additional updates.
- Version 6.0.2.53 and higher:
This version is scheduled to be released on 6 November 2006.
