WebSphere Application Server 5.0 Stopping JMS Server generates error

Problem(Abstract)
The JMS Server was stopped from the admin console. The following error msg appears:
"JMS Server couldn't stop normally. Please see detail information in system.out log."

 
Resolving the problem
The JMS Server was stopped from the admin console. The following error message was logged:

"JMS Server couldn't stop normally. Please see detail information
in system.out log."

However, system.out log shows no error. What is logged is:

"JMS Server was stopped".

Explanation for the inconsistencies in logging through the console and the system.out log:

The error message is due to a timeout. A listener did not receive the
shutdown event about the JMS Server. It does not mean the server did
not shut down properly.
Work around:
Check the logs. If the logs do not show any error message for the JMS Server, then it is okay.
