Error description
The application manager fails to restart the application when
dynamic reloading is enabled; a class has been changed in the
application during its execution, triggering a reload event
involving a WAR module deployed under the "APPLICATION" WAR
classloader policy. After the reload operation is complete,
an appllication may fail with a classloader problems, such as
a ClassCastException, due to the its classes being loaded by
an unexpected classloader.

* USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server Developers *
* using Dynamic Reloading in a web *
* application and MULTIPLE/APPLICATION *
* classloader policies *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A ClassCastException occurs whenever *
* a Web application is configured under *
* the MULTIPLE/APPLICATION classloader *
* policies, and an application class is *
* changed, including classes in an *
* application-associated shared library, *
* and application reloading is enabled. *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: *
****************************************************************
The server runtime attempts to reload a WAR module rather than
restart/reload the entire application, which is necessary under
the MULTIPLE/APPLICATION classloader policy configuration.
