PQ90368: A TRANSACTION ROLLBACK CAUSES A RECURSIVE LOOP FOR A CLUSTER MEMBER RESULTS IN THE CLIENT RECEIVING A CORBA NO_IMPLEMENT

APAR status
Closed as program error.

Error description
When a client is running PME 5.02 and the cluster talks to
a WSAS 4.0 server group they will see randomly CORBA
NO_IMPLEMENT error in the WSAS 5.0 client. This error message
is not bad, but the conditions behind this happening should not
happen. This is only for PME systems where the client is caught
in a transaction rollback causing a recursive loop for a
cluster member.

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
A Transaction rollback causes a recursive look for a cluster
member resulting in the client receiving a CORBA.No_Implement
exception. The cause of this is either the cell is in an
interop mode while transactions are being used. Or the cell
is using a single phase database.
The client should also have received a CORBA.Transient
exception and not a CORBA.No_Implement exception.
Problem conclusion
The interop code didn't check for transactional state before
making a remote call that caused the transaction problems.
Temporary fix
There is no temporary fix for this problem.
