Error description On demand router is encountering aLocal fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the TCP channel in the WebSphere * * Application Server version 6 or Extended * * Deployment version 5.1 where FFDC is * * triggered prior to the start of the * * selectors. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If an exception happens in the Work- * * QueueManager class prior to starting * * the selectors, the FFDC dump method * * triggers a NullPointerException. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When an error happens early enough, the attempted dump of FFDC data by the WorkQueueManager encounters a NullPointerException. This breaks the FFDC path and is logged as the invocation exception.Problem conclusion Proper null checks are performed in the FFDC dump paths now to protect against the early failures. This fix is targeted for Extended Deployment 5.1.0.3 and is already fixed in Application Server version 6.0.2 and higher.Temporary fix Comments
