Problem(Abstract) |
Whenever an IBM® WebSphere® Application Server V5.1.1 and
V5.0.2 Base node is removed using the Deployment Manager in the WebSphere
Application Server Deployment Manager Edition, the ND.product file does
not get deleted in install_root/properties/version of WebSphere
Application Server Base Edition. |

Cause |
The ND.product file is not deleted from the
WebSphere Application Server Base Edition after a Base node removal. |

Resolving the
problem |
Important: If you have multiple configuration instances (created
using wsinstance on Windows® or crtwasinst for iSeries®) and
these multiple instances are federated nodes to the Network Deployment
Manager, then you can only apply the following workaround after you have
removed the LAST wsinstance node from the Network Deployment Manager.
After the node removal, the ND.product file in the
install_root/properties/version of the WebSphere
Application Server Base Edition must be manually deleted, as well as all
files with the prefix ND.properties in the
install_root /properties/version/backup
directory.
Where install_root is the installation path of WebSphere
Application Server Base Edition.
