Problem(Abstract) |
When installing WebSphere® Application Server V5 Fix Pack
2 on Windows®, the updateInstaller fails to load both the updateWizard GUI
and the updateSilent command line application. Both fail without
meaningful logging or tracing information. |
|
|
|
Cause |
When installing another IBM® product, such as the Lotus®
Workplace for Content Management that is installed with WebSphere Portal,
you must create certain operating system environment variables. These
variables prevent the updateInstaller from correctly installing WebSphere
Application Server V5.0.2.
