Problem(Abstract)
addNode command run from WebSphere Application Server BASE 5.0.2.9 on iSeries v520 causes following messages in systemOut.log

ADMU0124E: The system clock of the new node (NODE) is not synchronized with that of the deployment manager (DMGR>.
ADMU0125I: Change the clock of the new node to be within 5 minutes of the clock of the deployment manager.

Cause
Day light savings time

Resolving the problem
On the iSeries, you must manually adjust the QUTCOFFSET for day light savings time if your iSeries server is located in a time zone that adheres to daylight savings time.
For example, if your iSeries server is located in Rochester, Minnesota, United States, the time zone is CST (Central Standard Time). During the time frame when daylight savings time is not in effect (October through April), the QUTCOFFSET value is -06:00. When daylight savings time is in effect (April through October), the QUTCOFFSET value is -05:00. If you forgot to change the QUTCOFFSET value when daylight savings time went into effect and attempted to add a node on the iSeries to your Windows 2000 system located in the same
room as the iSeries server, the add node would fail indicating that the clocks are not synchronized correctly.
