One way to reproduce the problem is to add something with a
space inside of TraceComponentsMapping.xml or
TraceGroupsMapping.xml. With a space the panels that bring up
registered groups and components fails.
Problem conclusion
This problem reported is a duplicate of internal defect
155428. The jsp file trace_tree.jsp under
com.ibm.ws.console.probdetermination was modified.

The error was that one of the javascript variables
was getting embedded spaces. These were removed
before forming the javascript variable
Temporary fix
Modified code to remove spaces from entry field.
