Tuning Load Balancer high availability on s390 Linux
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
Because more response-time variability occurs on s390 Linux systems running under VM, the default takeover interval of 2 seconds might not be appropriate.

Resolving the problem
For s390 Linux running under VM, more response-time variability occurs than for other supported installations. The image might respond more slowly as other images consume more resources. Because of this, the default takeover interval of 2 seconds might not be appropriate for s390 Linux systems under VM.
If you experience unexpected high availability takeovers, your Load Balancer should be tuned. This can be done only with the command line, and only before high availability starts.
Issue the following command to modify the takeover interval <numseconds>:
dscontrol executor xm 33 2 <numseconds>
