Error description When executing a single rule with multiple clients at the same time, WebSphere will deadlock in less than a minute of operating.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server Developers * * using Business Rule Beans (BRBeans). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WebSphere deadlocks when triggering a * * rule from multiple clients * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Under some circumstances there is a deadlock condition that can cause the application server running Business Rule Beans as well as clients triggering Business Rule Beans rules to hang. This deadlock can occur when multiple clients are triggering rules at the same time and the rules being triggered are configured for remote firing.Problem conclusion The BRBeans code was performing improper locking that could result in deadlocks. The code has been fixed in the next WebSphere Enterprise fixpack and a temporary fix is also available.Temporary fix Comments
