Problem |
How do you uninstall WebSphere® Application Server
completely for Base, Network Deployment, Enterprise Edition or WebSphere
Business Integrations Server Foundation in Silent mode? |
|
Cause |
In some environments, it is inconvenient or impossible to
run the WebSphere Application Server uninstaller program in the graphical
(also known as "GUI" or "wizard") mode. The program can be invoked in a
silent mode which removes the product without prompting for responses.
Special note concerning Embedded Messaging for V5.0 and V5.1
The uninstaller process for WebSphere Application Server V5.0 will remove
the Embedded Messaging feature from the system if this instance of
WebSphere Application Server was responsible for installing it. If a new
copy of WebSphere Application Server V5.1 has been installed on the system
and it is using Embedded Messaging, then be sure to read the instructions
from the Information Center concerning the pre_uninst502mq
and post_uninst502mq
commands prior to uninstalling WebSphere Application Server V5.0.
The uninstaller process for WebSphere Application Server V5.1 will never
remove the Embedded Messaging feature from the system. If it is necessary
to completely remove WebSphere Application Server V5.1 from the system,
then follow the manual
uninstall instructions for WebSphere Application Server V5.1. |
