Error description
Dynacache creates two cache entries for a POST and a GET message
even their responses are identical.
Local fix Problem summary
****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: Dynamic Cache users using servlet caching *
* for a servlet that returns the same *
* response for GET and POST requests. *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Dynacache always appends the HTTP *
* request type to the cache-id. If the *
* servlets return the same response for *
* GET and POST requests, the cache will *
* cache these as separate entries *
* because the cache-id has the request *
* type appended to it. For some *
* applications this can cause the cache *
* size to increase unnecessarily. *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: *
****************************************************************
Dynacache always appends the HTTP request type to the cache-id.
Problem conclusion
Added a property "ignore-get-post" that allows the user to
disable Dynacache from appending the request type to the
cache-id for GET and POST requests.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion
in 5.02.12 and 5.1.1.5.
