disable2Phase versus enable2Phase
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
What is the difference between disable2Phase and enable2Phase custom properties?

Resolving the problem
By default, two-phase connections are used by Data Direct (formerly known as MERANT) JDBC Drivers (i.e. SequeLink JDBC and Connect JDBC) . The same DataSource implementation class is used for both non-Java Transaction API (JTA) and JTA-enabled data source.
disable2Phase
This is the WebSphere Application Server version 4.0.x data source's custom property.
To use one-phase connections, set disable2Phase to true.

enable2Phase
This is the WebSphere Application Server version 5.0.x data source's custom property.

To use one-phase connections, set enable2Phase to false.
Note: The WebSphere Application Server 5.0 InfoCenter is correct when referencing "enable2Phase" custom property.
