Error description
Issue effects
Solaris / WAS 5.1.1 / IHS 2.0.47.1
WAS 5.1.1.x plug-in
This case considers when one of two AppServer is down. (machine
shutdown)
Checking how long the client request will be wait. In
plugin-cfg.xml, there is "RetryInterval" parameter, it decide
the interval to check the server down.
Sample Scenario: Test with default ConnectTimeout="0",
RetryInterval="60". In environment, every request dispatched to
the down server will be waited 3 min 45 sec. Test on my windows
machine with default. First request wait 20sec, and be
timeouted then redispatched to the active server. Within 60 sec
from first request, request was dispatched to the active server.
Next request was sent to the down server and be waited 20sec.
Plug-in used to mark the appserver down using the time when
request was received. We are aware of the problem, and are
working to use the current time when marking the appserver down.
