Problem(Abstract) |
How to get detailed AIX® version, fileset and maintenance
level information |
|
|
|
Resolving the
problem |
To determine the Version: oslevel
Notes:
- If your AIX system is below 3.2.4, you will not have the
"oslevel" command on your system, and your AIX Version is 3.
- If the "oslevel" command is on your system, notice the
first field of its output.
- This will be "3" or higher, and is your AIX Version. For
example, if "oslevel" returned "4.3.0," your system is at Version 4.
To determine the fileset Version: oslevel -g
To determine the exact maintenance level of the machine: instfix -i
| grep AIX_ML
To determine the exact maintenance level 09: instfix -ik
4330-09_AIX_ML
To determine which filesets are not updated using the command, if the
output indicates that not all filesets are found: instfix -ciqk
4330-09_AIX_ML | grep ":-:" |
