Publishing UDDI fails with UDUC0005E when security is enabled

Problem(Abstract)
After adding data in UDDI and clicking Publish, then clicking Show own entities, a popup window in the browser shows following message:

A severe error occurred. Please check the following information.
Advice: While showing owned entities an unexpected error occurred.
Advice: Please contact your system administrator.

And the SystemOut.log has the following message:

Cause
You are not prompted for a user name and password as expected and authentication fails.

While global security is enabled, server specific security is disabled for the server hosting the UDDI application.

 
Resolving the problem
Enable security for the server hosting the UDDI application.
  1. From the administrative console, select:
  2. Servers > yourserver > Server Security > Server Level Security
  3. Check the box next to "Enabled" and restart the server.

You are now prompted for a username and password when trying to publish to the UDDI database.
