Error description
Sample Configuration:
There are 4 servers registered on ND: server1 and MBR_WAS81
on machine A, server1 and MBR_WAS89 on machine B.
MBR_WAS81 and MBR_WAS89 are configured as a cluster.
- All 4 server have same listener port name which designates
to the same queue connection factory and queue.
- On Administrative Console on ND,
1) Application Server -> server1 on Machine A
-> Message Listener Service -> Listener Port
2) Check to make sure all listeners are up with all servers
(same as step 1).
3) Go to the listener on server 1 (as step 1)
4) Select the check box of listener port and click Stop button
5) Check all listeners for all servers,
They all displayed as stopped even though only the listener
for server1 was stopped.
Local fix Problem summary
****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server console users *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: On a system that has multiple servers, *
* whose listener ports have the same *
* name - stopping one listener port will *
* cause all listener ports with the same *
* name to be stopped. *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: *
****************************************************************
The console code does not distinguish listener port names
belonging to different application servers.
Problem conclusion
Fixed the console code to take into account the app server
a listener port belongs to when referencing the listener
port.
Temporary fix
fix was tested and will be included in 5.0.2.4 and 5.1.0.2
