Error description The WebSphere CacheableCommandImpl was declaring the reset() method as final which prevented CacheableCommands from being reused for multiple requests. This defect eliminates this restriction by making the reset( ) method not final and allowing CacheableCommands to be reused by an application program.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server developers * * who are attempting to extend the Dynacache * * class com.ibm.websphere.command.- * * CacheableCommandImpl interface * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The CacheableCommandImp.reset() * * method cannot be extended because it * * is final. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When attempting to extend the CacheableCommandImpl interface, developers are unable to implement the reset() method with their own version. The compile will fail because the method is marked as final in the interface.Problem conclusion The method has been changed so that it is no longer marked as final. This will give application developers the ability to override the method; however, they must remember to call super.reset() at the start of their method.Temporary fix Comments
