Error description If system time is changed forward and back frequently, scheduler might fail----some tasks which should be fired on certain time won't run as expected. However, if the user change system time forward only or backward only, scheduler works fine. Component is WAS.asynchbeansLocal fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All WebSphere Application Server users of * * Scheduler, users of Asynchronous Beans * * Alarms, and users of CommonJ Timers. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If the system time is changed * * forward in time, the the Alarm or * * Timer or Scheduled Task may * * not run on time * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The problem only occurs when the system time is changed forward in time (into the future).Problem conclusion We reduced the delay by checking every 5 seconds for alarms, timers, or tasks which need to be fired.Temporary fix Comments
