APAR status
Closed as program error.

Error description
The ORIGO schemas import a W3C schema for XML digital signatures
as part of the message. This standard schema uses the
# character in its XML namespace
(http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#). This causes errors in thes
generated code.
Local fix
No workaround.

* USERS AFFECTED: Users of WebSphere Studio Application *
* Developer Integration Edition creating *
* Service proxies for WSDL. *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A WSDL may import or use an XML *
* Schema which uses a character in its *
* XML namespace which is not a valid *
* character in a Java package name. *
*                                                              *
* When a new Service proxy is created in *
* WebSphere Studio Application Developer *
* Integration Edition, Java classes are *
* generated to represent complexTypes *
* in the XML Schema. The package name of *
* these Java classes will contain the *
* character which is not valid in a *
* Java package name. Therefore, WebSphere *
* Studio will generate a compile error *
* for these Java classes with a message *
* describing that the package name is *
*                      not valid.                              *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
When generating Java classes to represent XML Schema
complexType definitions, WebSphere Studio Application
Developer Integration Edition calls the method
getPackageNameFromNamespaceURI() in the class WSIFUtils.

This method did not check the generated package name for
characters which are not valid in a Java package name.
Therefore characters such as '#' were put into the package
name.
Problem conclusion
WSIF has been changed to check the characters in the
generated package name. It will now replace any characters
which are not valid in a Java package name with "_c" followed
by the hexadecimal value of that character.

The fix is targetted for WebSphere Application Server
5.1.1 cumulative fix 4 and WebSphere Studio Application
Developer 5.1 interim fix 7.
