Solution |
Upgrading to the WebSphere Application Client V5.0.0
with IBM Developer Kit for Java V1.4.1 from the earlier IBM Developer Kit
for Java V1.3.1
Customers already using WebSphere Application Client V5.0 with IBM
Developer Kit for Java V1.3.1 who want to upgrade to the IBM Developer Kit
for Java V1.4.1 need to follow the upgrade path outlined below. Simply
updating the IBM Developer Kit for Java V1.3.1 component to IBM Developer
Kit for Java V1.4.1 does not work. The new application client must be
freshly installed.
- Obtain the WebSphere Application Client V5.0.2 with IBM Developer Kit
for Java V1.4.1 installation CD or image.
- Uninstall the old (IBM Developer Kit for Java V1.3.1) application
client.
- Install the new application client.
