PQ75371: updateInstaller reports "Fix pack uninstallation completed successfully" when it has not.

 A fix is available

5.0.2: WebSphere Application Server Enterprise Edition Version 5.0 Fix Pack 2

APAR status
Closed as program error.

Error description
If the updateInstaller encounters a failure during an
uninstallation, it reports the error in log files and
eventually quits the process. However, just before quitting, it
prints "Fix pack uninstallation completed successfully." to
stdout. This is misleading because the intended operation
actually did not complete successfully.
Local fix
No workaround; users need to manually check the log files to
determine if there was a problem. Note that this problem may
not necessarily apply to Fix Packs (as opposed to interim
fixes or cumulatives), nor does it necessarily apply to
uninstalls (as opposed to installs). It just happens that this
was the scenario which I recreated.
