Invalid startServer.bat/sh -username and -password in IBM WebSphere Application Server V5.0.
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
Supplying -username and -password parameters in IBM® WebSphere® Application Server V5.0 is not required when Global Security is Enabled.

Cause
Information Center, on-line documentation, and command syntax for Application Server V5.0 startServer are incorrect. This was corrected in Application Server V5.1.

Resolving the problem
Invalid stopServer.bat/sh requires -username and -password parameter specifications to prevent unauthorized outage/stoppage of production Application Server; however, startServer.bat.does not support or require these parameters for any logical reason.

It is not a security breach to start a production server, but it is to stop one without approval.
