Scenario: The fix affect WPC processes where - activities invoke soap based Web Services and - the Web Service operation has one or more fault messages. . The Web Service fault messages are now mapped to the appropriate activity fault terminal. . This apar requires the fix described in WSIF apar PQ84902. . Note: Apache SOAP based Web Service can only have one fault message. IBM Web service base soap services can have one or more fault messages.Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the Process Choreographer * * function of WebSphere Application Server * * Enterprise 5.0.2 in processes where * * - activities invoke soap based Web Services * * and * * - the Web Service operation has one or more * * fault messages. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Cannot use fault messages of SOAP * * based Web Services * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Apache SOAP based Web Service can only have one fault message. IBM Web service base soap services can have one or more fault messages. The WSIF SOAP provider did not have provision for processing SOAP faults to identify the WSDL fault which occured. With PQ84902 WSIF will attempt to match a SOAP fault to a WSDL fault message. WSIF will also put the Exception object which maps to the XML type in the SOAP fault into the WSIF fault message. This APAR PQ86073 enables users of Process Choreographer to make us of PQ84902Problem conclusion The Web Service fault messages are now mapped to the appropriate activity fault terminal.Temporary fix Comments
