Caching Proxy support of the OutgoingSrcIp option on the BindSpecific directive
 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)
An additional option, OutgoingSrcIp, on the BindSpecific directive allows Caching Proxy to bind to a specific IP address before making connections to the target server.

The minimum release levels that support this option are: 4.0.2.45, 5.0.2.21, 5.1.1.0, 6.0.2.0.

Resolving the problem
The OutgoingSrcIp option on the BindSpecific directive allows the proxy server to bind to a specific source IP address, instead of using an operating system assigned address, before making a connection to the target server.
Use this option when your network configuration includes a firewall positioned between the proxy server and the target servers.

Syntax:
BindSpecific [on | off ]  OutgoingSrcIp ip_address

Note: The ip_address value must be a valid IP address assigned to a NIC.
