Error description Runtime exception when calling getDynamicWSIFProvider()Local fix Problem summary **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server Enterprise * * Edition users who use V4 WSAD-IE tooling to * * generate code and then deploy onto V5. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After migrating from Websphere V4 to V5 * * a runtime exception occurs when calling * * getDynamicWSIFProvider() * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** In WebSphere Application Server V5 the getDynamicWSIFProvider() method in class WSIFDynamicProvider is not compatible with V4.1.1. The signature of the method has changed as the return type is different. This leads to a runtime exception of the method not being foundProblem conclusion Customers seeing this problem should apply PTF 1 for the WebSphere Application Server Enterprise Edition (PME 5.0.1). The incompatible interface has been removed so as to enable the migration of the V4 generate code to work in the V5 environment.Temporary fix Comments
