An administrative domain is the logical space in which the configurations
for various objects in your WebSphere environment reside. It is the set of
configurations you are managing with WebSphere systems administration, including
configurations pertaining to:
- Physical hosts on which application servers are installed
- Application servers and other components that comprise the runtime
- Applications installed on the application servers
- Resources providing support to applications, such as JDBC drivers and data
sources for data access
- Security
