Use this menu to open and save trace files, set OLT preferences, or exit from OLT. This menu has the following choices:
Open OLT File
Select this option to open an existing trace file. OLT files can be saved to, and
opened from, any directory on the workstation where the OLT Server is running by specifying the full path to
the file.
The trace file can be stored as XML or the Object Level Trace EDB format (default).
If no path is specified then the default is used, as defined by the DER_DRIVER_PATH environment variable.The default directory for storing trace files is the directory defined by the %DER_DRIVER_PATH%\temp environment variable on Windows NT, or /tmp on AIX.
Save OLT File As
Select this option to save the current trace to a file. OLT files can be saved to, and
opened from, any directory on the workstation the OLT Server is running by specifying the full path to
the file.
The trace file can be stored as XML or the Object Level Trace EDB format (default).
If no path is specified, the file is saved to the directory defined on the File > Preferences > OLT settings page. By default, the Read/Save file directory is the one defined by %DER_DRIVER_PATH%\temp on Windows NT, or /tmp on AIX.
Start Process
Select this option to start your client application. The client application must be
resident on the same machine as the OLT Server or accessible from a shared drive.
Restart debugger
Select this option to restart the Distributed Debugger daemon. You will need to
restart the debugger daemon if you have closed the debugger UI during an OLT
session.
Preferences
Select this option to set your preferences for the overall appearance and behavior of
Object Level Trace.
Saving the current trace to a file
Opening an existing trace file
