8.3.2: Sample Logs

Select a log to view sample output:

Reminder:  With the exception of UNIX identifierWebSphere.instl, all logs are located in directory:
<Server root>logs

stderr and stdout logs

Irrespective of the type of stdout and stderr logs, Application Servers or servlet redirectors, the log output appears the same.

The following log fragment is an example of an Application Server stderr log. Use this log to identify exceptions thrown by the code running on the Application Server:

The wasdb2 log provides information on the DB2 was database configuration process.
