Launch "SQL Server Client Network Utility" (Start/Programs/Microsoft SQL Server 7.0/Client Network Utility):

Click "Add" button to add a new Network Library Configuration as follows:

(assuming you have a Server Network Libary listening on the default port 1433).
Click the OK button
Then click Apply button and click OK button
2. Configuring SequeLink Server 5.1 for MS SQLServer
Lauch the SequeLink 5.1 Manager (Start/Programs/SequeLink Server 5.1 for MSSQL Server/SequeLink 5.1 Manager Snapin)

Click on "Not connected to SLAgent51" to connect to the SequeLink Agent.

Enter the adminstration userid and password.
Once connected to the SLAgent51, expand the tree and highlight the "default" datasource for
the SequeLink Service SLSQLServer7:

Right click on the "Default" server side data source and select "New/Attribute"

From the pull-down for the "Attribute" field, select "DataSourceMSSODBCConnStr" and
specify the following in the "Value" field:
Driver={MERANT MSSS Driver for SequeLink 5.0};Server=galaxyTCP;Network=dbmssocn
(where galaxyTCP is the Server Alias you created in step 1).

Then click OK button.
Then click on the check mark icon on the tool bar to save the configuration.

This attibute is dynamic. That means you don't have to restart the SequeLink Service SLSQLServer51 for the change
to take effect. | |
