How to use SUN's debug jdk with websphere.
Here are the instructions for running the
Sun debug JDK with WebSphere:
.
1. Install the jdk-1_2_2_09-solsparc.bin JDK and
the Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_09_debug_sparc.bin JDK in
a temp directory (eg /opt/test) as per the
instructions from Sun.
2. Backup your WebSphere java directory
(/opt/WebSphere/AppServer/java)
3. Copy the debug version of the JDK over
top of WebSphere's JDK From the directory with
the debug JDK installed
(eg /opt/test/Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_09) execute
the following command:Sun debug JDK with WebSphere:.1. Install the jdk-1_2_2_09-solsparc.bin JDK andthe Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_09_debug_sparc.bin JDK ina temp directory (eg /opt/test) as per theinstructions from Sun.2. ln -s libWsProcessManagement.so libWsProcessManagement_g.so 5. Edit the startupServer.sh file and modify the JAVA_EXE entry to point to the java_g executable JAVA_EXE=$JAVA_HOME/bin/java_g 6. Edit the admin.config file and change the jdkexe entry to point to the java_g executable (NOTE: you may need to remove jre from the path) com.ibm.ws.jdkexe.path=/opt/WebSphere/AppServer/java/bin/java_g
