Overview:

XML POST operations to WAS via the HTTP server fail erratically.
HTTP
POSTs and GETs work fine. XML POSTs work fine after an HTTP GET
or POST
from the same browser: however it is not possible for our
application to
issue HTTP GETs or POSTs because this violates the browser
security
model (Pocket IE on PocketPC 2002): only XML POSTs are possible

Model and clone test servlet
Install HTTP server and WAS plugin on third machine
Place his HTML in root directory of HTTP server and change the
line var
uri = "http://fmcprod07/fmc/XmlTestServlet" to match your system
requirements, where 'fmcprod07' is the name of your HTTP server.
Load HTML into IE 5.5; click the button. This flows an XML post
to the
server.
Notice that XML POSTs don't always come back.
Perform an HTTP GET against the server
Repeat XML posts: notice that they work reliably now.

Logs and traces as analysed by the labs show
Action taken: Reviewed the traces sent. The key problem seen is
that
ose.servgrpibmoselink1 returns null for several properties -
ose.sessionid.length, affinityidname, ose.failure.retry_timer,
and ose.connection.inetretries. The request for
/fmc/XmlTestServlet host from fmcprod07:80 thru default_host
returns a null. Session affinity is however enabled. application:XmlTestServlet.java, XmlTestServlet.classPModel and clone test servletInstall HTTP server and WAS plugin on third machinePlace his HTML in root directory of HTTP server and change theline varuri = "http://fmcprod07/fmc/XmlTestServlet" to match your systemrequirements, where 'fmcprod07' is the name of your HTTP server.Load HTML into IE 5.5; click the button.
