iPlanet SP4.1 SP7 HTTP Server will drop persistant SSL
connections to browsers after WAS 3.5 FP2 or greater is applied.
In WAS 3.5 FP0 HTTP Response Header fields were formatted in
lower case. In FP2 and higher fixpack levels HTTP Response
Header fields were formatted in mixed uppercase and lower case.
This cause the iPlanet HTTP Server not to recognized some key
HTTP Response header fields that dictate the HTTP protocol
exchange between browser clients and the web server. LVL2
instrumented a module that formatts HTTP Response headers
in lower case, which is the NSAPI standard and the expectation
of the webserver. Lower case HTTP Response headers will ensure
that connections between the iPlanet server and the browser are
not dropped. Local fix
To correct the problem the OSE Plugin NSAPI module ns plugin
must be modified to format all HTTP Responses in lower case. Problem summary

* RECOMMENDATION: *
****************************************************************
Even though keep-alive is specified for a request, the
persistent connection is not maintained.
Persistent connections were being dropped because the header
names in the response headers were in mixed case. Iplanet
webserver requires that the header names be lowercase. Problem conclusion
Lowercased all header names on the response back to the
Iplanet webserver. Temporary fixComments
