Resource Analyzer does not run on AIX with Security enabled.

Hints and tips

Abstract
Running the Resource Analyzer script on AIX (ra.sh) with security enabled results in Authorization failed message
Content
The script to run the Resource Analyzer on AIX did not have a necessary parameter to allow it to run successfully with security enabled. The ra.sh script does not refer to the sas.client.props file so that the RA client cannot authenticate itself to the AdminServer.

Solution: Once the apporpriate environment variable (CLIENTSAS) was added to the script, it worked fine. Here are more details:

To run RA for AIX when you have security set on, change the ra.sh script:

for WAS Security, you have to add $CLIENTSAS
If you use LDAP you have to also add EPM_CP=$EPM_CP:$WAS_HOME/lib/sslight.jar

See the following script:

#!/bin/ksh

WAS_HOME=/usr/WebSphere/AppServer

. $WAS_HOME/bin/setupCmdLine.sh

EPM_CP=../lib/epm.jar:..
#EPM_CP=$EPM_CP:$WAS_HOME/properties/sas.client.props
EPM_CP=$EPM_CP:$WAS_HOME/lib/chart.jar
EPM_CP=$EPM_CP:$WAS_HOME/lib/ejs.jar
EPM_CP=$EPM_CP:$WAS_HOME/lib/ujc.jar
EPM_CP=$EPM_CP:$WAS_HOME/lib/repository.jar
EPM_CP=$EPM_CP:$WAS_HOME/lib/admin.jar
EPM_CP=$EPM_CP:$WAS_HOME/lib/console.jar
EPM_CP=$EPM_CP:$WAS_HOME/lib/sslight.jar

LP=$LP:$WAS_HOME/bin:$DB2_HOME/sqllib/lib
LP=$LP:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
export LIBPATH=$LP
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LP

$JAVA_HOME/jre/sh/java -mx50331648 -classpath $EPM_CP $CLIENTSAS com.ibm.ejs.s
m.client.ui.perf.EpmGui $1 $2
