DataDirect SequeLink Server installs as evaluation version

Technote (FAQ)
Problem
Why does the DataDirect® (formerly Merant) SequeLink® Server continue to install as the evaluation version rather than the full WebSphere® OEM version?
Solution
If the IBM® OEM version of SequeLink Server is ever installed without the /v"IPE=NO" command line argument as explained in the installation instructions (see FAQ #1104867), DataDirect writes to a file called islv.ini. The location of this file varies depending on the SequeLink version and the platform. The islv.ini file stores the information that SequeLink is an evaluation copy. Even after uninstalling and installing correctly using /v"IPE=NO", SequeLink will still be an evaluation copy due to the information that is written in the islv.ini file.

To install the OEM version, remove any reference to SequeLink Server 5.x in the islv.ini file, save it, then reinstall the SequeLink Server with the /v"IPE=NO" option.
