Answer:IBM eServer Integrated Platform for e-business is a cross server offering used to build an integrated infrastructure for Linux for deployment of J2EE-based e-business applications. The architecture of the offering is based on the IBM Patterns for e-business. The offering is based on either an internet or an intranet topology. The basic difference between the two is the level of security.
The customer benefits from the integration and testing of the h/w and s/w components. The output of the integration and testing is a set of documentation and executable scripts to assist the customer in the installation of the solution. The documentation specifies the h/w models used and the software levels used. To keep the offering current, hardware models are updated and software levels are updated, the offering is retested, and new documentation and scripts are released.
