How to turn off WebSphere Application Server security using XMLConfig.

Technote (FAQ)
Problem
This technote will show how to turn off WebSphere Application Server security using XMLConfig. This is useful if the admin server is running, but access to the admin console is not available.

Environment:
WebSphere Application Server 3.0.2.2 and higher
Solution
An XML script with the following will turn off WebSphere Application Server security:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE websphere-sa-config SYSTEM "$XMLConfigDTDLocation$$dsep$xmlconfig.dtd"> (for WebSphere Application Server 3.x)
<!DOCTYPE websphere-sa-config SYSTEM "file:///$XMLConfigDTDLocation$$dsep$xmlconfig.dtd"
> (for WebSphere Application Server 4.0.x)

<websphere-sa-config>
<security-config security-enabled="false" security-cache-timeout="600"/>
</websphere-sa-config>

It is imported using the XMLConfig import command line (such as, XMLConfig(.sh) -adminNodeName nodename -import turnoffsecurity.xml).

WebSphere Application Server will have to be restarted for the change to take effect.
