Administrative Console Connection Fails on Linux Server

Technote (FAQ)
Problem
Things to check If you are unable to access the administrative console on a Linux host due to a connection failure. If the administrative console connection fails , the DumpNameSpace command may also fail.
Solution
This problem can result from the settings in the /etc/hosts file in Linux. The entry in the /etc/hosts file that is for ip address 127.0.0.1 should not have the name of the host as one of the names mapped to that loopback ip address.

Remove the hostname from the list of names in the entry for 127.0.0.1.
