| Problem | The WebSphere® Application Server admin server fails to start on multi-processor system when Microsoft® Windows® service is set to AUTOMATIC in services panel | | | | Solution | This problem has been resolved in Websphere Application Server 3.5 fix pack 6. Interim fix PQ54029 is included within the fix pack. However, after installing fix pack 6 you will need to add the following lines to the admin.config file in order to completely resolve the problem:
com.ibm.ejs.sm.adminServer.waitForStop=true # max wait time for server to stop in seconds. You can change this number. com.ibm.ejs.sm.adminServer.maxWaitTime=600 | |
