| Problem | Using Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_10
The time zone listed by the claims quest application and the IAF is:
GMT-06:00
The correct time zone should be: Central Daylight Time
The time zone listed by claims quest and IAF on the QA server is:
Eastern
Daylight Time
GMT-06:00 would normally be correct, except that we are now on daylight
savings time, which makes our current time GMT-05:00. The time zone
should be set to Central Daylight Time. The operating system correctly
identifies the time zone as CDT, and java programs run outside WebSphere
correctly identify the time zone as CDT. | | Cause | setting -Duser.timezone=America/Chicago as a JVM™ parameter from Admin Console | | Solution | 1. Added command line argument to the appservers -Duser.timezone=America/Chicago
this seemed to resolve the issue with the
incorrect time stamp in the logs and in the
database time stamp.
2. Changed the startupServer.sh script to add the
lines -Duser.timezone=America/Chicago
