Downloadable files
Abstract
The Serious Event Dispatcher dispatches WebSphere log events (such as application servers starting and stopping) to a specified remote server.
Download Description
The Serious Event Dispatcher, dispatches WebSphere log events to a known entity. It communicates using sockets. All events are sent via sockets to a local or remote server which is listening for these events.

The dispatcher is a "client" of the Admin Server. It polls the adminserver for any new events and if there are any new events the event is converted into a string and sent to a socket listener.
