| Error description
Properties files fail to get read in upon initilization of
the webserver plugin. Discussed w/level 3 plugin team and this
problem can only occur w/in a 1 sec threshold where the webserve
r and appserver are started at the same time. And the plugin lo
gic determines the files have not been modified and do not need
to be read in. Cust has experienced this problem 2xs and would
like a fix. Local fixProblem summary
****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Application Server 3.5 users. *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Plugin fails to read configuration *
* files on startup. *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: *
****************************************************************
If the adminserver regenerated the plugin files within a one
second window in the plugin initialization, the plugins would
fail to read in the config files. In most cases, this means
the plugin wouldn't forward WebSphere requests, possibly giving
500 errors, until the property files get refreshed again, or
until the user stops the webserver, and restarts it. Problem conclusion
Problem was caused by an incorrect initial value for the
variables kept the last time a particular configuration file
was read in. The initial values have been changed to a value
that guarantees that the plugins will always read in all
of the config files when it first starts up. Temporary fixComments
