Generating a Liberty server cluster plug-in configuration

[16.0.0.4 and later]You can generate the plug-in configuration file for the Liberty server cluster by running the pluginUtility command or calling the ClusterManager MBean. A supported web server uses the plug-in configuration file of the Liberty server cluster to forward HTTP requests to one or more application servers in the cluster.

About this task

By default, the plug-in configuration file name is plugin-cfg.xml. You can optionally give the plug-in configuration file a different file name.

You might require a single plug-in configuration file that contains multiple clusters, and optionally individual application servers. Obtain a plug-in configuration file for each cluster as described in this procedure. Additionally, obtain a plug-in configuration file for each individual server. Merge them in a single file by using the plugin utility merge action.
