Generating a Liberty server cluster plug-in configuration by using the pluginUtility command

You can generate the plug-in configuration file for a Liberty server cluster by running the pluginUtility command. You can run the command for a target collective controller that is either a local server or a remote server.

Before you begin

Complete the following items:
  • For distributed platformsWhether the target collective controller is local or remote, ensure that the localConnector-1.0 feature is enabled in the target collective controller.
  • For z/OS platformsFor IBM i platformsIf the target collective controller is local, ensure that the restConnector-1.0 feature is enabled in the target collective controller.
  • If the target collective controller is remote, ensure that the restConnector-1.0 feature is enabled in the target collective controller.
  • Ensure that the target collective controller is running.
  • Ensure that all cluster members are running.
  • For a remote server, set the JVM property of com.ibm.webserver.plugin.utility.autoAcceptCertificates to true to automatically accept SSL certificate chains.
  • Ensure that the target server has the servlet-3.0 feature or the servlet-3.1servlet feature enabled.
