The Host Access configuration element defines the way in which a collective controller executes commands on collective member hosts. All of the attributes of hostAccess have default values that are typically sufficient. Add this element to a collective controller only when you need to change one or more of the default attribute values.
Name | Type | Default | Description |
---|---|---|---|
connTimeout | A period of time with second precision | 180s | Amount of time to wait for obtaining a remote connection to target hosts. The default value is 180 seconds. Specify a positive integer followed by a unit of time, which can be hours (h), minutes (m), or seconds (s). For example, specify 30 seconds as 30s. You can include multiple values in a single entry. For example, 1m30s is equivalent to 90 seconds. |
operationTimeout | A period of time with second precision | 360s | Amount of time to wait for completing an operation on target hosts. The default value is 360 seconds. Specify a positive integer followed by a unit of time, which can be hours (h), minutes (m), or seconds (s). For example, specify 30 seconds as 30s. You can include multiple values in a single entry. For example, 1m30s is equivalent to 90 seconds. |
useSftp | boolean | false | By default, scp is used for transferring files between a collective controller and a member host. In unusual circumstances, an installation's version of scp might be incompatible or unavailable. In that case, this attribute can be used to configure the collective controller to use sftp. This attribute is only applicable on Linux operating systems. |
enableCustomActions | boolean | false | The file transfer REST APIs use optional pre- and posttransfer actions. The collective controller uses built in actions for its operations, and other actions are not allowed by default. This attribute controls whether other actions are allowed to be included as pre- and posttransfer actions on collective member hosts. Examples of other actions are unzip, chmod, mkdir, and so on. |
