IBM Distributed Debugger Version 8.5.7

The IBM Distributed Debugger is being provided here to allow the debugging
of applications on Microsoft Windows 2000 developed using one of the
following compiler products:

IBM VisualAge for C++ 3.5
IBM C & C++ Compilers 3.6.5
IBM VisualAge C++ Professional for Windows 4.0 , with the link(debug) and gen(debug)
   options specified in the configuration file



Installing the IBM Distributed Debugger
---------------------------------------

Download the file idebug857.zip from
  ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/ps/products/visualagecpp/tools/idebug/idebug857.zip
into a temporary directory.

Unzip the zip file.

Run Setup.exe

For "Setup Type", select the default choice, "Typical".

Please note that the installation does not add any menu items to the Start menu.

Be sure to read the readme which is installed as X:\IBMDebug\README.txt, where X:\IBMDebug
is the directory where you installed the IBM Distributed Debugger.

To start the debugger run the command:
  X:\IBMDebug\bin\idebug            (where X:\IBMDebug is the directory where you installed)

To access the HTML help from outside of the debugger, open the file
  X:\IBMDebug\help\en_us\index.htm  (where X:\IBMDebug is the directory where you installed)
in your web browser.
