README File for Performance Analyzer Fix

These files  provide a temporary fix for the following problems
in the Performance Analyzer component of VisualAge for C++ for
Windows, Version 3.5, with CSD WTU352:
 
- User programs linked with _KERNEL.LIB will not run under
  Windows 95.
 
- Library _KERNEL.LIB is missing functions whose names are
  longer than 31 characters.
 
Please note that this fix should be used only with the product,
version, and CSD specified above.

Installing this temporary fix indicates your acceptance of the
following terms and conditions:
 
1) You may use this temporary fix only if you are a current
   licensee of VisualAge for C++ for Windows, Version 3.5.
 
2) You may make copies of this temporary fix equal to the number
   of licensed copies of VisualAge for C++ for Windows that you
   possess.
 
3) All other terms and conditions of your VisualAge for C++ for
   Windows license agreements apply to this temporary fix;
   however, this does not extend any warranty and/or services.
 
4) This temporary fix is provided on an "as is" basis without
   warranty of any kind.
 
5) You agree that as soon as CSD WTU353 becomes available, you
   will remove and destroy this temporary fix and install the
   CSD.
 
Installation Instructions
-------------------------
 
1. Go to the directory where you have VisualAge for C++ for
   Windows installed (usually d:\IBMCPPW).
 
2. Go to the BIN subdirectory.
 
3. Rename file _KERNEL.DLL to _KERNEL.OLD (or something
   similar).  Replace it with the new _KERNEL.DLL in this fix.
 
4. Go to the LIB subdirectory.
 
5. Rename file _KERNEL.LIB to _KERNEL.OLD (or something
   similar).  Replace it with the new _KERNEL.LIB in this fix.
 
6. Before applying CSD WTU353 (not yet available), restore the
   original files that you renamed in the previous steps.
