Problem Description: It is not possible to view online documentation containing DBCS characters on a DBCS machine when using the IPF viewer (IVIEW) in the English version of IBM VisualAge for C++ version 3.5 with fixpak WTT353 or WTT354 applied. The DBCS characters are corrupted. Problem Solution: Setting the appropriate fonts in the ipf.ini file will cause the IPF viewer to correctly display DBCS characters. Installation Instructions: Locate the ipf.ini file in use on your system. It will be in the bin directory located under the directory specified by the IPF_PATH32 environment variable. Replace this file with the ipf.ini file in this package. Notes: The font settings in the included ipf.ini file will change the appearance of text on non-DBCS systems. To return to the default settings, comment out the Proportional font settings in ipf.ini by placing a semi-colon (;) at the start of each "ProportionalFont" line.
