Previously, the ICS does not fail events until the destination connector was started the first time if ControllerStoreAndForward property was set to “false”. Now, we introduce new connector specific property WaitForAgent. If ControllerStoreAndForward property is “false” and WaitForAgent for destination connector is “true”, ICS would not fail the events until the destination connector is started. If ControllerStoreAndForward and WaitForAgent are “false”, ICS will start to fail events immediately. Risks: In case of ICS recovery a lot of in-process events will be failed if ControllerStoreAndForward and WaitForAgent are “false”. All these events could be manually re-submitted. Yet, event sequencing will be lost during manual re-submission.

Prerequisites

1. You must have installed WICS InterChange Server version 4.3.0.4 before installing this interim fix.

2. WICS 4304 LAIF4 must be installed before installing this LAIF. Follow the instructions in the LAIF4 readme to install LAIF4

Upgrade Instructions

To upgrade to WICS 4.3.0.4 LAIF 9

1. Download the LAIF package according to your WICS server operating system.

2. Back up the files listed in the table below to allow this interim fix to be uninstalled.

3. Unpack the zip or tar package to the WICS installation directory. For example on AIX® extract WICS_4304_LAIF9_UNIX.tar to /usr/home/WebSphereICS if that is your installation directory.

1. To uninstall this interim fix, replace the new files with the backed-up files form step 2 of the upgrade instructions above.
