General description
================
The fix pack contains fixes for problems encountered in IBM Directory Integrator Plugins v5.1.2.
The APAR number for each problem is listed in Problems fixed.

Refer to the specific APAR for more detail.


Problems fixed
============

The following new fixes are in 5.1.2-IDI-FP01

NO APAR ( IBM Internal Error (CMVC) 1886 )
Password sycing with null password and multiple password problem.

APAR: IR52394 ( IBM Internal Error (CMVC) 2048 ) 
Registry Update Fails for IBMDI Plugin Install (for Windows only)

APAR: IR52675 ( IBM Internal Error (CMVC) 2358 )
Update IDS plugin to support IDS 4.1 hashing scheme

NO APAR ( IBM Internal Error (CMVC) 2383 )
PW Sync (IDS, SunOne, Domino) do not support Unicode

Dependencies
===========

IBM Directory Integrator Plugins 5.1.2 must be installed.

IMPT: STOP the Sun Directory Server or IBM directory Server before applying the Fixpack

IMPT: If there is a directory named SunOne or IDS or IDI and respective plugin is not installed. 
	(This could happen in conditions of repeated Installations without proper uninstallation) 
	Please rename the respective directory to a name other than IDS/SunOne/IDI. 

	eg: SunOne is not installed. but SunOne directory exists under <install root>. Then rename the SunOne to SunOne1.
 

Applying the fix pack
================
You need approximately 100 MB for fix pack installation(If all the plugins are installed). 
This includes the requirement for backing up the previous files also.

To apply the fix pack,  you need to launch the "IBM Directory Integrator Plugins v5.1.2 Fixpack 1" ISMP Installable for Windows.

It will: 
- Replace the updated files and backup the old files in the folder <Plugin Install>/Backup
- Create BackupLog_IDI, which will contain a log of all the replaced files for IDI Plugin.
- Create BackupLog_IDS, which will contain a log of all the replaced files for IDS Plugin.
- Create BackupLog_SUN, which will contain a log of all the replaced files for SunOne Plugin.

- Backup the old <Plugin Install>/_jvm as <Plugin Install>/_jvm_backup and update the _jvm to the latest JRE Level.
- Backup the old <Plugin Install>/IDI/_jvm as <Plugin Install>/IDI/_jvm_backup and update the _jvm to the latest JRE Level.
- Backup the old <Plugin Install>/IDS/_jvm as <Plugin Install>/IDS/_jvm_backup and update the _jvm to the latest JRE Level.
- Backup the old <Plugin Install>/SunOne/_jvm as <Plugin Install>/SunOne/_jvm_backup and update the _jvm to the latest JRE Level.


Confirming that the fix pack has been applied
===================================

1) The contents of the <Plugin Install>\IDS\fixpack.properties, <Plugin Install>\SunOne\fixpack.properties or <Plugin Install>\IDI\fixpack.properties file are:

Uninstalling the fix pack
===================
This is a small manual Process:

1) Replace all the files which are mentioned the BackupLog_IDI, BackupLog_IDS, BackupLog_SUN  with the ones stored in the  <Plugin Install>/Backup Folder.

For replacing the JRE:

2) Rename the <Plugin Install>/_jvm to _jvm_new 
3) Rename the <Plugin Install>/_jvm_backup to _jvm
4) Rename the <Plugin Install>/IDS/_jvm to _jvm_new 
5) Rename the <Plugin Install>/IDS/_jvm_backup to _jvm
6) Rename the <Plugin Install>/IDI/_jvm to _jvm_new 
7) Rename the <Plugin Install>/IDI/_jvm_backup to _jvm
8) Rename the <Plugin Install>/SunOne/_jvm to _jvm_new 
9) Rename the <Plugin Install>/SunOne/_jvm_backup to _jvm

Uninstalling the product
===================
Run the <Plugin Install>/_uninst/uninstaller to uninstall the product.
