APAR: IZ03690 Issue: 07-23524 Application: Assets (Tr) Description: Attaching a warranty contract to an asset in Assets (Tr) causes the application to hang. APAR: IZ03824 Issue: 07-23762 Application: Job Plans (Tr) Description: The work accomplished for Job Plans (Tr) is not filtered correctly when organization and site are specified. APAR: IZ04282 Issue: 07-24364 Application: Quick Reporting (TR) Description: In Quick Reporting (TR), you receive an error when you select a failure class. APAR: IZ04794 Issue: 07-24908 Application: All Description: Problem installing Maximo for Transportation on an empty database (one without Maxdemo data). APAR: IZ05465 Issue: 07-25653 Application: Organizations (Tr) Description: When you click the Select Action menu in the Organizations (Tr) application, there is a T&D Options submenu with several T&D options. None of these options work. No error is visible from the front end when you click the T&D options; they simply don't appear. APAR: IZ05780 Issue: 07-25929 Application: Campaigns (Tr) Description: You get a database error when you open the Campaigns (Tr) application if there are no records in the database table. APAR: IZ09365 Issue: 07-29151 Application: Invoices (Tr) Description: If you change the unit cost on an invoice to a higher cost than cost on the PO line, you can get an error that attribute PLUSTREPORD does not exist when you try to approve the invoice. APAR: IZ18781 Issue: 08-14716 Application: Application Designer Description: When you clone the Campaigns (Tr) application, you can get a database error when you click on the Campaign tab, and the cloned application does not return records even though they exist in the database. APAR: IZ21182 Issue: 08-15920 Application: Work Order Tracking (Tr) Description: Not able to enter a new repair order row on Work Order Tracking (Tr) Plans tabs. APAR: IZ21249 Issue: 08-15927 Application: Campaigns (Tr) Description: Validation of organization and site values is not working when you add a job plan to a campaign via a work package. APAR: IZ22064 Issue: 08-16301 Application: Work Order Tracking (Tr) Description: When you try to close a work order that has children, you can get an error that says that you are unable to save the record after changing status because the record has been updated by another user. APAR: IZ23385 Issue: 08-16860 Application: Asset Lists (Tr) Description: In Asset Lists (Tr), the Select All check box does not select all records when you add multiple assets to an asset list record. APAR: IZ23963 Issue: 08-17225 Application: Labor Reporting (Tr) Description: All LABTRANS records for a labor code are loaded into memory for Labor Reporting (Tr). APAR: IZ24955 tr Issue: 08-17558 Application: Stick Readings (Tr) Description: Invalid binding on Select Value list for Entered By field in Stick Readings (Tr). APAR: IZ26270 Issue: 08-18183 Application: Maximo for Transportation reporting Description: There are relationship errors when running Maximo for Transportation reports due to duplicate report numbers. APAR: IZ26681 Issue: 08-18428 Application: Fuel Issues (Tr) Description: You can save a record without entering a GL debit account; this only happens when both Maximo for Transportation and Maximo for Utilities are both installed. APAR: IZ27274 Issue: 08-18692 Application: Maximo for Transportation upgrade Description: The Maximo for Transportation 6.3 upgrade reports that it has completed succesfully but it skips Maximo for Transporation upgrade sections from the appcalloutlist.xml file. APAR: IZ27610 Issue: 08-18788 Application: Preventive Maintenance (Tr) Description: When a quick PM is used for a work order, the PM Counter and Next Due Date fields on the PM record do not get updated. APAR: IZ28013 Issue: 08-18987 Application: Work Order Tracking (Tr) Description: Even when a meter reading should be required, the Work Order Tracking (Tr) application fails to provide a message that a meter reading entry is necessary to change work order status to In Progress. APAR: IZ28169 Issue: 08-19135 Application: Inventory Counting (Tr) Description: You cannot save a new count book with selection items when smart fill in the webclient.properties file is turned off. APAR: IZ28707 Issue: 08-19455 Application: Asset Warranty Contracts (Tr) Description: When you enter a coverage line and then click on the Associated Assets tab and associate an asset, the coverage line does not get copied to the asset record. APAR: IZ29991 Issue: 08-20374 Application: Work Order Tracking (Tr) and other (Tr) applications Description: On the More Search Fields dialog box, the component code and position code drilldown lookup dialog boxes do not return the selected value to the search field. APAR: IZ30835 Issue: 08-20816 Application: Work Order Tracking (Tr) Description: The Classification field in Work Order Tracking (Tr) does not have all the features that the field has in the the core Work Order Tracking application. APAR: IZ31324 Issue: 08-21197 Application: Quick Reporting (Tr), Labor Reporting (Tr) Description: You can get a "Record has been updated by another user" error message when you enter multiple labor hour records without saving after each entry. APAR: IZ33184 Issue: 08-22001 Application: Changes, with Maximo for Transportation installed Description: Labor that is selected in the Changes application is not displayed in the labor list. APAR: IZ33348 Issue: 08-22093 Application: Work Order Tracking (Tr), and Work Order Tracking, with Maximo for Transportation installed Description: You can receive a null error when adding actuals to a work order. APAR: IZ33564 Issue: 08-22204 Application: Preventive Maintenance (Tr) Description: You can receive an error when you attempt to manually generate multiple PMs. APAR: IZ35491 Issue: 08-23357 Application: Assets (Tr) Description: The "Change the status of all associated PMs to INACTIVE" option is not available when you change the status of an asset to NOT READY. APAR: IZ35666 Issue: 08-23602 Application: Vehicle Scheduling (Tr) Description: You cannot change the status of a vehicle request to completed. APAR: IZ35698 Issue: 08-23611 Application: Work Order Tracking (Tr), and Work Order Tracking, with Maximo for Transportation installed Description: You can receive the "A work order already exists for this PM" message when it is not appropriate. APAR: IZ35885 Issue: 08-23708 Application: Assets (CM), with Maximo for Transportation installed Description: In Assets (CM), the last asset meter reading is not visible and the field is not read-only when Maximo for Transportation is installed. APAR: IZ35935 Issue: 08-23764 Application: Work Order Tracking (Tr), and Work Order Tracking, with Maximo for Transportation installed Description: You receive an error, "Cannot change the status to the same status for tasks on work order," when you change the status of the work order. APAR: IZ36966 Issue: 08-24261 Application: Warranty Claims (Tr) Description: Warranty Claims (Tr) does not work when you try to specify a condition code. APAR: IZ38232 Issue: 08-24822 Application: Assignment Manager (T&D), with Maximo for Transportation installed Description: Changing the Crew Type value on the assignment record, while in WAITASGN status, is not completed. APAR: IZ39299 Issue: 08-25352 Application: Asset Templates (Tr) Description: Master PM information is not copied to the asset record from the asset template when an asset is generated from the template. APAR: IZ39654 Issue: 08-25524 Application: Asset Templates (Tr) Description: A PM for a new asset does not get the Work Type or Lead Time (Days) fields populated during the asset record creation process in Asset Templates (Tr). APAR: IZ40483 Issue: 08-25663 Application: Work Order Tracking (Tr) Description: You can receive a "Record has been updated by another user, refetch and try again" message when you should not. APAR: IZ40750 Issue: 09-10003 Application: Inventory Counting (Tr) Description: You cannot remove an item from the Selection Items field in Inventory Counting (Tr). APAR: IZ41011 Issue: 09-10108 Application: Work Order Tracking (Tr) Description: With a high number of warranty transaction records, the system can generate a warranty claim for the wrong asset and work order. APAR: IZ42394 Issue: 09-10368 Application: Work Order Tracking (Tr) Description: Changing the scheduled start date for a work order does not update the required date for associated planned materials. ======================================================Installation information Overview of update process: To apply the fix pack, complete these tasks: 1 Check that pre-installation requirements are met. 2 Install the fix pack. 3 Run the database scripts. 4 Rebuild the EAR files. 5 Restart the application server and deploy the EAR files. 6 Optional: Install the reports. Note: For SQL Server users, step 6 is required. ------------------------------ Pre-installation requirements Before you install this fix pack, check the following requirements: - You have system administrator rights and privileges. - IBM Maximo Asset Management 6.2.3 is installed - IBM Maximo for Transportation 6.3 is installed. - All users are logged off Maximo. - All Maximo application servers and services are stopped. - No other programs are open. - The entire directory where Maximo is installed is backed up. - The Maximo database is backed up. - The Maximo help system is backed up. The help system is located in \\applications\maximohelp\helpweb\webmodule\en. ------------------------ Installing the fix pack To install the fix pack, run the update.exe file from the maximoInstallDir\PowerUpdateClient directory of your administrative workstation, where maximoInstallDir is the directory in which Maximo Asset Management is installed. Follow the steps in the update program to download and install the required files. If you cannot run the update.exe file because of a network or security policy, download and run the update file directly from the IBM Maximo Industry Solution for Transportation product support page: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/sysmgmt/products/ support/IBMMaximoforTransportation.html ----------------------------- Running the database scripts The database scripts create and update some of the database tables. If you run Maximo on Oracle® Database 10g, you must have the create job privilege before you run the database scripts. To grant the create job privilege, the administrator must log on to SQL *Plus under the system account and run the following command: grant create job to dbUserName; where dbUserName is the user to be granted the privilege. To run the database scripts: 1. Ensure that the database is backed up. 2. Open a command prompt, go to the maximoInstallDir\tools\maximo folder, and run the updatedb.bat command. ------------------------- Rebuilding the EAR files Ensure that the maximo.properties file is up-to-date, then rebuild the maximo.ear file and the maximohelp.ear file. For more information about building EAR files, see the IBM Maximo Installation Guide. -------------------------------------------------------------- Restarting the application server and deploying the EAR files Restart the Maximo application server and redeploy your EAR files to apply the fix pack changes. For information about deploying EAR files, see the IBM Maximo Installation Guide. ----------------------- Installing reports If you are using SQL Server and want to run reports, you must download and install the reports in this fix pack. To install reports: 1. Download the compressed reports file from the support site. 2. Extract the file contents to a temporary location, such as C:\temp\tr631reports. 3. Extract the file contents from the compressed file that matches your database type in the temporary location. 4. Take your Actuate encyclopedia offline. 5. Run the following Actuate command on the appropriate folder: acimport -all -force -replace -username -password -input For example, if you use Oracle specify the path C:\temp\utilities632reports\oracle_export\export. 6. If your Maximo and Actuate iServers are running, shut down both of them. 7. Restart the Maximo server. 8. Restart the Actuate iServer. --------------------- Enabling reports To enable reports: 1. Log in to Maximo Asset Management as someone with Admin Privileges. 2. Select the Report Administration application. 3. On the List tab, click Recreate all XML. 4. Wait until the message "The request page XML has been generated" is displayed, then click Close to close the message.
