Households containing striker(s) are ineligible for Food Assistance unless:
- Individual satisfies an exemption OR
- Individual satisfies the striker exception
Striker Exemptions
The following individuals are not considered strikers and are therefore eligible for Food Assistance:
- Employees unable to work as a result of striking employees OR
- Employees who are not part of the bargaining unit on strike who do not want to cross the picket line due to fear of personal injury or death OR
- Employee affected by a lock out OR
- Employees who go on strike that are exempt from work requirements the day prior to the strike, other than those exempt because they are employed.

- Household was eligible for benefits the day before the strike began
