There is an additional validation feature built into the apply evidence changes process. When evidence changes are applied, the system calls a hook that applies validations at the case level rather than at the evidence level. This extra validation ensures that a specified minimum amount of evidence exists for the case. For example, before activating a loan evidence record, validation could be called as part of the hook which checks for an associated (active) property evidence record.
