This chapter presumes that WebSphere Application Server for z/OS has already been installed on z/OS. Consult Third-Party Tools for Cúram -specific information on the installation of WebSphere Application Server for z/OS.
The configuration of WebSphere is similar on all platforms and a number of Ant targets are available to aid the configuration and management of the installation. For those interested, Manual WebSphere Application Server Configuration details the manual steps performed by the configuration scripts.
The configuration target provided by the SDEJ represents a simple default configuration and may not be suitable for a production environment.
The configure target uses the default profile created by WebSphere Application Server for z/OS. It is strongly recommended that you have a backup copy of your WebSphere Application Server for z/OS configuration filesystem in case you need to rerun the configure target for any reason.
