Completing And Recording Outcomes For Goals And Objectives

As with actions and services, goals and objectives can be completed. Completing goals and objectives indicate whether the client achieved a positive outcome for the goals and objectives defined for them. If the goal or objective was not attained, a reason must be specified to indicate why it was unsuccessful. Specifying outcomes for objectives can be used as an indicator of a clients progress towards achieving their overall goal. For example, if a client has an objective to 'Remain Clean And Sober', it is not likely that a client will attain their goal of Self Sufficiency if they do not attain this objective. Specifying the outcome of a goal identifies the clients over all success having been involved in the planning process.
