Rules to determine eligibility and entitlement to the sample employment benefit are configured using the Rules Editor. The rule-set (EmploymentBenefitRuleSet) containing the eligibility criteria for the benefit is as follows.
The applicant is:
- Aged under 65
- Unemployed and looking for full time work
- Meets income test criteria
- Meets an asset test
- Is certified
An additional rule-set for some sample 'Common' rules (used by the employment benefit eligibility) is also provided. This rule-set is called 'N2OSocialAssistanceCommonRules'.
The entitlement rates are maintained in rate tables. There is a rate for a single applicant and one for an eligible family.
Where an applicant is eligible to receive employment benefit, the rules will also determine if there is entitlement to an accommodation allowance, medical allowance and child allowance as follows:
- A rent allowance is payable where rent expenses are over 50.00 per week
- A child allowance is payable for each child
- Child is defined as being under the age of 17
- Child of either the primary client or the spouse of the primary client
- A Medical Allowance is payable for each eligible case member who has a medical condition with an ongoing medical expense.
- Either the maximum expense rate is payable or the actual expense amount (per member), whichever is the lesser
The rent, medical expense and child allowance rates are maintained in rate tables.
Income and Asset thresholds are also set in rate tables.
