Closing an Application Case

The application case status is automatically set to 'Closed' when all programs associated with the application have been completed, i.e., 'Approved', 'Denied' or 'Withdrawn'. If programs have been 'approved', the integrated cases and product deliveries used or created by the authorization process are used to manage the ongoing eligibility and delivery of benefits to the clients on the application case.

An application case may return to a status of 'Open' if a 'denied' or 'withdrawn' program is reopened by a worker. This may occur if the organization made an error withdrawing or denying a program, or the client successfully appeals a program denial.
