Business Objects

For the purposes of CTM we have defined a Business Object as a set of administrative data that defines and governs an instance of a particular set of functionality (e.g. Benefit Product, Liability Product, Service Plan, etc.). Each Business Object consists of the collection of data (i.e. entity instances) that is required to configure the system to use and/or act on the instance of the functionality that it represents. It is through the capture, transport, and application of sets of Business Objects that CTM provides its capabilities.

All the business objects containing configuration data suitable for transporting, have been analyzed and integrated with CTM. A user can select an instance of one of these business objects and add it to a change set. The user does not require any further knowledge of the underlying data structure for the business object. A list of the Business Objects is provided in the appendix.
