Bi-directional Transport

CTM allows bi-directional transport of configuration data between systems in the system landscape. This facilitates flexibility whereby customers can transport configuration data between systems based on their business needs. For example, even when a customer ordinarily uses CTM for transporting their configuration changes from development through testing into production; they may have a need to apply a change outside of this process directly on the production database. With the bi-directional support in CTM, the customer can re-sync the configuration data across systems in this scenario and use CTM to move the change from production to testing to development.
