Releasing a Change Set

When a user releases a change set, the change set definition is complete and any business object data is frozen in the change set at this point. This is done when all the business objects that need to be transported as part of the change set have been added to the change set and no further changes are required. The change set contents, including the business object instances, cannot be modified once the change set is released. Any changes made to the business object after the change set is released will not be in the change set. Once released, the change set can be transported to a target system. The released change set can also be used to revert to the configuration data associated with the business objects in the change set at a later point in time.
