Configuring Service and Custom Service Plan Items

There are two types of service plan items that can be added to a service plan: the service plan item and the custom service plan item.

Service plan items and custom service plan items must be associated with a service. By associating these service plan item types with a service, the administrator indicates that the actual schedule, actual cost, status and units delivered of the plan item are derived based on CPM invoice processing and attendance tracking.

When a service plan item is configured, the administrator must search for and select a specific service to associate with the service plan item. The list of available services is maintained in CPM.

When a custom service plan item is configured, a specific service is not selected and associated with the service plan item. Instead, the service is selected when the plan item is added to a service plan by a case worker. This provides a case worker with the flexibility to select services as required within a service plan.
