This chapter provides an overview of the process of delivering care and protection to clients through service delivery and referrals.
The service delivery process includes creating a service, checking a client's availability to attend the service, finding the best service provider, requesting the service, and paying the client or provider. To ensure that services are successfully meeting the needs of clients, case workers can also record an outcome for a completed service and evaluate the quality of the service.
The referral process includes referring a client to a suitable provider and following up with the client if required.
Note that service deliveries and referrals processing is highly configurable. For an overview of the configuration options available for services and referrals, see Configuring Services and Referrals.
