Don't use the Pre-Association Pattern for evidence entities which are not logically related or entities which more naturally fall into a Parent-Child relationship. An associative relationship between an evidence entity and a non-evidence entity should not be recorded with a Pre-Association Pattern, but with a Related Pattern.
