Count the value of a life estate without powers as a resource if the life estate is not the principal place of residence AND
To determine the value of a life estate without powers:
- Get the fair market value of the property AND
- Using the Life Estate Table, find the individuals age (as of last birthday) AND
- Multiply the figure in the life estate column for that age by the fair market value of the property to determine the value of the life estate
