The agency can configure the system to specify whether, before starting an application, a citizen must create an account or login to make an application. The system property curam.citizenworkspace.authenticated.intake is used to dictate if authentication is switched on or not. If this property is switched on, a citizen must create an account or login to UA before starting an application. If this is switched off, the citizen will be taken directly to the application selection page.
