Mapping configurations are released by selecting the Release row action from the program mappings list. Once the mapping configuration has been released, the record status becomes 'released' and it is used by the system to perform mappings from the effective date specified. If the mapping being released has the same effective date as an already released mapping, the new mapping configuration takes precedence and supersedes the previous mapping configuration. A mapping configuration can not be edited once it has been released.
