Configuring Certifications for Provider Members

A certification is an official recognition of a provider member's skill or qualification. As such, certifications are applied to individual provider members. They are not applied at the provider level. When configuring a certification, the credits required to achieve the certification and the issuing body can be specified. Certification credits allow the organization to configure what is required of the provider member before they can be certified. After the certification is recorded in the administration application, resource managers can apply it to individual provider members.

For example, a CPR Practitioner certification is required by every provider member working with a provider, Senior Care Ltd., a residential care facility. An administrator creates a certification of type CPR Practitioner with a validity period of one year. Once the certification is recorded in the administration application, the resource manager can then record the certification for Senior Care provider members.
