The discard in edit case evidence maintenance function simply discards an evidence record with an in edit status. Since in-edit evidence records are not used for assessment, the functionality to remove them is much simpler. Note, however, an evidence record that has been approved by a case supervisor but not yet activated cannot be discarded.
