IBM Middleware for Remote Retail Server, Pilot Version 2.0 Readme. ------------------------------------------------------------------- This README file contains the latest information about installing the Middleware for Remote Retail Server pilot package. Contents of Pilot v2.0 Release ------------------------------ There are 15 CDs or CD images associated with the Middleware for Remote Retail Server. There is a set for Windows and a set for Linux. In addition within each platform set there are images for the TMR (required) and an optional set for your ISPs. This is explained in detail in the Installation guide. The installation Guide is located in the Docs directory of each CD1. It is required that you create CDs from the images if you have obtained the code from the FTP site. When using the Installation Guide, the CDs are referred to by their full name, the following table maps the full name to the CD volume labels or the files image names. NOTE: This does not describe the requirements for machines located at the Enterprise. IBM PC server with Pentium III or compatible processor, 1GHz or higher 1 GB of RAM 20 GB of free disk space on installation drive Known problems and workarounds ------------------------------ 1. The packaged Resource Models do not work on Windows ISPs. There is no known work-around at this time. 2. The DB2 installation assumes the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is installed in a particular directory (/opt/IBMJava2-1.3.1). If this is not the case a soft link will have to be created to point to the correct location of Java for the DB2 install.
