Install Interim Fix 0002 for Rational Product Updater v6.0

1. Log on to your system with a user ID that has write permission to the installation location. (This is typically an ID with Administrator authority on Windows^® or root authority on Linux^™).
2. Start the Rational Product Updater.
3. Configure Rational Product Updater to use rpu_ifix0002.zip. In the examples below, <PATH> represents the directory it was downloaded or unzipped in:
• If the file was unzipped, create a policy.xml file with the following lines in it:

  <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
  <update-policy>
    <url-map pattern="com.ibm.orca.product.updater"
      url="file:///<PATH>/rpu/60/update/site_0002.xml"/>
  </update-policy>

• Or leave the file zipped and create policy.xml with the following lines:

  <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
  <update-policy>
    <url-map pattern="com.ibm.orca.product.updater"
      url="jar:file:///<PATH>/rpu_ifix0002.zip!/rpu/60/update/site_0002.xml"/>
  </update-policy>

• If you are already using a policy.xml file, add one of the above <url-map> elements to it instead.
• Use Preferences > Update Sites in the Rational Product Updater to enter the path of the policy.xml file you created or modified.
4. Click Find Updates and the Product Updater will find the fix and ask to install it.
5. Click OK and the fix will be installed and the Product Updater will restart itself.
