The Rational ClearCase integration with Rational ClearCase Explorer and Windows Explorer
The Rational® ClearCase® integration with Rational ClearCase Explorer (also used by Windows Explorer) is one of several ways to access source files in views and to use Rational ClearCase commands. Using the integration entails the following tasks:
- Using dynamic views, starting dynamic views, and activating VOBs
- Assigning views to drives
- Using commands on the Rational ClearCase shortcut menu
If the Rational ClearCase integration with Rational ClearCase Explorer is activated, you have available the Rational ClearCase shortcut menu to perform Rational ClearCase operations. The integration is activated when Rational ClearCase is started on the local computer.
You can also access views and issue commands from other interfaces:
- cleartool
- Integrations with development environments, for example, Rational Application Developer, Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft Developer Studio, and Visual Basic
