Upgrading a ClearCase view

ClearCase views created with earlier releases of the ClearCase Web interface or the ClearCase Remote Client must be upgraded before you can use them with the current IBM Rational® ClearTeam Explorer™ version.

Before you begin

Before you can upgrade an existing ClearCase view, the ClearCase server that supports it must be upgraded to support the current version of the Rational ClearTeam Explorer. You also need this information:

About this task

If your computer hosts Web views created by the Rational ClearCase Web interface or views created by a previous version of the ClearCase Remote Client, you can use the current Rational ClearTeam Explorer version to access these views after the ClearCase server that supports them has been upgraded to support the Rational ClearTeam Explorer.

Note: Once the view is upgraded, you can no longer use earlier releases of the ClearCase Web interface or the ClearCase Remote Client to access it.

The existing view is upgraded to work with the current version of the Rational ClearTeam Explorer. To use the view, select it in the ClearTeam Navigator and, in necessary, click the connect to ClearCase Web server icon icon to log in to the ClearCase server.
