The passage of the United States Energy Policy Act of 2005 alters the Daylight Saving Time (DST) start and stop dates by four weeks. Extended DST will begin in March of 2007. As a result of this change, users of some versions of the desktop products for the IBM® Rational® Software Development Platform will be required to install an update.
This update will adjust the IBM Java® environment (SDK or JRE) of the affected products to account for the DST change. This update is provided for all platforms on which the products are supported.
