1.0 概觀
本文件說明如何利用 IBM Rational Product Updater 來安裝 IBM® Rational® Application Developer 的 J2EE 連接器工具特性。
您應該從 IBM 更新伺服器直接安裝這項特性。
不過，您也可以下載包含本端安裝架構的這項特性的 ZIP 檔。
下列各節說明如何安裝這項特性。
2.0 安裝必備項目
在安裝這項特性之前，您必須先安裝 IBM Rational Application Developer Fix Pack 6.0.0.1。
請參閱 www3.software.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/rationalsdp/rad/60/install_instruction/6001/nl/install_zh_TW.html，以取得 Rational Application Developer Fix Pack 6.0.0.1 的安裝指示。
另外，如果您按一下說明 > 軟體更新 > 管理配置，或修改 feature.xml 檔，來利用更新管理程式停用任何產品特性，您必須先重新啟用它們，才能安裝這項特性。
3.0 安裝特性
請利用安裝 Rational Application Developer 的相同使用者帳戶來安裝特性。
限制：
- 當您安裝這項特性時，無法開啟 Rational Application Developer。
- 在 Windows® 作業系統中，您必須使用有管理者專用權的帳戶。
在 Linux® 作業系統中，您必須使用 root 使用者帳戶。
如果要安裝特性，請完成下列步驟：
- 啟動 Rational Product Updater：
- 在 Windows 作業系統中，按一下開始 > 程式集 > IBM Rational > Rational Product Updater。
- 在 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0（GNOME 桌面環境）中，開啟主功能表，再按一下程式設計 > Rational Product Updater。
- 在 SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9.0（K 桌面環境）中，開啟主功能表，再按一下 IBM Rational > Rational Product Updater。
附註：在 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0 和 SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9.0 中，如果您使用非預設的桌面環境，產品捷徑可能不會出現在預設位置中。
- 按一下尋找選用特性。
如果 Rational Product Updater 需要更新項目，在您可以繼續作業之前，會提示您安裝它。
請按一下確定。
這時 Rational Product Updater 會安裝更新項目、重新啟動，並擷取一份可用的更新項目清單。
- 依預設，會選取所有可用的特性。
請確定您選取了 J2EE 連接器工具。
要訣：如果要檢視這項特性的說明，請按一下這項特性。
這時會在「詳細資訊」窗格中顯示說明。
- 按一下安裝特性。
- 如果要接受授權合約，繼續安裝，請按一下確定。
隨電腦處理器速度、RAM 數量和網際網路連線速度而不同，可能會一段較長的時間來下載和安裝特性。
安裝好之後，Rational Product Updater 會在「已安裝的產品」頁面中，列出已安裝的特性。
- 關閉 Rational Product Updater。
4.0 下載本端安裝架構的特性
您應該從 IBM 更新伺服器直接安裝特性；不過，您也可以下載它。
在下列狀況中，您可以下載特性：
- 您的網際網路連線比較慢或不穩定，您想使用能夠回復下載的下載管理程式。
- 您從防火牆後面，很不容易存取即時 IBM 更新伺服器。
- 您偏好先下載特性，稍後再安裝它。
如果要下載和安裝 Rational Application Developer 的特性，請完成下列步驟：
- 從下列網址下載特性：ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/rationalsdp/rad/60/zips/J2C_Features_RAD.zip。
- 將特性解壓縮到暫時目錄中，如 C:\temp。
- 如果需要安裝指示，請瀏覽至 C:\temp\rad\，開啟 install_local_j2c_6001.html。
5.0 建立更新伺服器的本端鏡映
在下列狀況中，您可以建立 Rational Application Developer 更新伺服器的本端鏡映：
- 您管理一組無法直接存取網際網路的產品安裝架構。
- 您可受益於更新伺服器的本端鏡映管理一套產品安裝架構。

6.0 解除安裝特性
請利用安裝 Rational Application Developer 的相同使用者帳戶來解除安裝特性。
限制：
- 當您解除安裝這項特性時，無法開啟 Rational Application Developer。
- 在 Windows 作業系統中，您必須使用有管理者專用權的帳戶。
在 Linux 作業系統中，您必須使用 root 使用者帳戶。
如果要解除安裝特性，請完成下列步驟：
- 啟動 Rational Product Updater：
- 在 Windows 作業系統中，按一下開始 > 程式集 > IBM Rational > Rational Product Updater。

- 選取 J2EE 連接器工具。
更新項目之間的相依關係會自動實施。
如果您選擇回復其他已安裝的更新項目所需要的更新項目，則也會選擇回復相依於這個更新項目的更新項目。
- 按一下回復更新項目。
- 關閉 Rational Product Updater。
