What is IBM My Support?

IBM My Support is a free web portal that allows you to create a personalized view of support - pick only the products that you are interested in! Most notably, you may subscribe to receive weekly e-mail notifications on important technical topics written by IBM engineers.

Details

The My Support Portal allows IBM support customers to create customized support pages for IBM product brand categories (Software, Servers, Storage, Personal Computers, Printing Systems, and Point of Sale).

  • Customers can build a support profile, indicating the IBM products they own or in which they are interested.

  • Customers can select and arrange portlets that display specific types of support documentation:
    • Problem solving information
    • Flashes
    • Forums/discussion groups
    • Parts information
    • Product information and publications
    • Downloads and drivers

  • Customers are able to view "all support documents" for a specific chosen product or "documents created since the customer's last visit“.

  • Customers can subscribe to weekly e-mail alerts informing them of their products' latest support documents available on IBM.Com (except for APARS).

  • Customers can view their last 4 e-mail alerts, which are stored and viewable on the customer's My Support page.
