To print a document, ZipPrint needs answers to the following questions:

• What are the paging keys?
  ZipPrint needs this information so that it can page backward and forward through the document. Specifically:
  • What is the page-forward key?
  • What is the page-backward key?

• Is this the right type of document?
  ZipPrint needs this information so that it can automatically recognize document types. Specifically:
  • What is a key word or phrase that appears in the same place on every page of this document?
  • How do I recognize the first page of this document?
  • How do I recognize the last page of this document?

• Which area from each page should I print?
  ZipPrint needs this information so that it can exclude information that is not part of the document text. As mentioned earlier in this tutorial, a session screen can contain information that should not be printed with the text of the document, such as header information and footer information. Specifically:
  • What area should I print from the first page of this document? (The first page may contain additional information that does not appear on the remaining pages of the document.)
  • What area should I print from the remaining pages of the document?

• Should I reposition the document after printing?
  If the answer is yes, ZipPrint repositions the document to the page that was displayed when ZipPrint began.
