SLP OptionsScope
Allows you to control TCP/IP clients' access to SLP servers. Scope is a range of services that make up a logical group. If you set scope definitions for your SLP servers, you can then manage access to those servers by configuring user sessions with corresponding scope values.Special characters , (comma), / (forward slash), and : (colon) are not allowed in the Scope field.
We recommend that you configure all of your SLP servers with scope definitions. This Scope Only
Valid when you specify scope value for a session:No is the default selection.
- Select Yes to prevent users from connecting with servers not defined by that scope.
- Select No to allow users to establish the session with any SLP server, regardless of its scope definitions.
Maximum Wait Time (ms)
Sets the maximum time, in milliseconds, that the session waits to discover services or directory agents, or responses concerning load information. This value must be greater than zero and less than 3600000ms (1 hour). The default is 200.
