Readme

This README describes the contents of Telelogic Eclipse Interface 4.1 Patch 1 and describes how to install the patch.

PROBLEMS

     Patch 1 contains the following changes

·         Add support for Telelogic Synergy 6.6a

·         Fix R31079 - Enabling breadcrumbs disables the Label Decorations

·         R31330 - Task creation and task view refresh are slow when the user has many saved queries

·         R31331 - Compare with previous version does not display all changes if a working state file has not been synced using the Synergy client

 

SUPPORTED RELEASE

This patch should be applied to Telelogic Synergy for Eclipse Interface 4.1.

 

WHO SHOULD APPLY THIS PATCH

  • This patch should be installed by anyone who uses Telelogic Synergy for Eclipse Interface 4.1.

 

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

There are two methods for installing the integration.  Please choose one method and follow the instructions below

 

Telelogic Update Site

1.      Start Eclipse, go to Help->Software Updates->Find and Install…

2.      Choose Search for new features to install and click Next

3.      Click New Remote Site and enter Telelogic for the name and http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/rational/telelogic/eclipse for the URL.

4.      Click OK then click Finish

5.      Find Telelogic Synergy for Eclipse Interface 4.1.0 Patch 1 in the list of available features and click the checkbox next to it

6.      Click Next

7.      Accept the license agreement and click Next

8.      Click Finish

9.      Click Install All

10.  When prompted to restart Eclipse, click Yes.

 

Local Installation 

 

1.      Unzip the patch file into a temporary directory.

Use WinZip (or another zip tool) to extract the files. 

2.      Start Eclipse, go to Help->Software Updates->Find and Install…

3.      Choose Search for new features to install and click Next

4.      Click New Local Site and browse to the temporary directory where you unzipped the files

5.      Click OK then Finish

6.      Find Telelogic Synergy Integration Version 4.1.0 Patch 1 in the list of available features and click the checkbox next to it

7.      Click Next

8.      Accept the license agreement and click Next

9.      Click Finish

10.  Click Install All

11.  When prompted to restart Eclipse, click Yes.

 

REVERSING THE PATCH

If it is necessary to remove the patch after it was installed, follow these steps.

 

1.      Start Eclipse, go to Help->Software Updates->Manage Configuration

2.      Right click on Telelogic Synergy for Eclipse Interface 4.1.0 Patch 1 choose Uninstall.

3.      When prompted, restart Eclipse
