Rational Technical Support
This
section provides information about new and enhanced features included in
Rational ProjectConsole 2003.06.00 and Rational ProjectConsole Template
Builder. These changes were implemented after the release of Rational
ProjectConsole 2002.05.00.
This version of Rational
ProjectConsole provides several new features and enhancements that make the
ProjectConsole Web site easier to use and manage.
ProjectConsole
uses the Rational Web Platform (RWP) – an
Apache/Tomcat-based Web server. With RWP, no additional setup is required after
installation. When you install
ProjectConsole, all Web configurations are performed automatically.
Now,
when you install ProjectConsole, its server processes are installed and run as Microsoft® services.
You
can now log in to ProjectConsole within a firewall environment.
ProjectConsole
now handles double-byte characters and provides level 2 support
for German, French, Dutch, Italian, Hebrew, Swedish, Traditional and Simplified
Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
The ProjectConsole Web site now
includes an Administration section. This
section is used to administer the groups and individual users who log in to the
Web site, set an expiration time for generated reports, and remove server names
from the list of available report servers.
Administrators can now assign
access to running reports on the Web site based on access control lists (ACLs). ACLs can include groups as well as individual users.
Previously, if you were running
the Dashboard, and you wanted to use the Designer, you had to close the
Dashboard first. In ProjectConsole Version 2003.06.00, you can run the
Dashboard and the Designer at the same time.
Note: To run the
Dashboard and the Designer at the same time, you must use the Java 1.4.x
plug-in.
After you log in to
ProjectConsole, you have read-only access to all reports and folders associated
with the group(s) to which you belong.
In addition, you now have your own private, customizable workspace in
the navigation tree. You can copy read-only information to this workspace, and
organize it to suit your needs.
Previously,
an administrator used the ProjectConsole Administrator to manage users and the
Web site navigation tree, and to create, run, and monitor scheduled tasks. In
Version 2003.06.00, an administrator:
·
Uses
the new Administration section on the main Web site to manage users and groups,
set an expiration time for generated reports, and remove server names from the
list of available report servers
·
Manages
the ProjectConsole navigation tree from the main Web site
·
Uses
the Designer to create, run, and monitor scheduled tasks
ProjectConsole now supports
collecting and reporting from Microsoft® Project
Standard and Professional 2002.
ProjectConsole provides many
new out-of-the-box Template Builder report templates that you can use to
display data from development tools, including Rational TestManager. The improved template format produces reports
that have a more professional look and feel and are easier to read.
Out-of-the box templates now
include templates for displaying Rational TestManager and cross-products
data. You can access descriptions of all
of the out-of-the-box templates in the navigation tree for the ClassicsCD.com
sample Web site. In the navigation tree,
expand the ClassicsCD.com Projects node, and then, under Additional ProjectConsole Resources, click Descriptions of Supplied Templates.
Previously, if you used a
navigation tree node to generate a report on data displayed from a point
product that had security enabled, you were required to first log in to the
point product. In this release, you can
run reports without logging in to a different product because you can now
specify a username and password on the node properties page.
You can now use a shortcut menu
to cut (administrators only) or copy a node in the navigation tree and then
paste the node into a different section of the tree.
The
new Logo toolbar gives you quick access to resources such as the Getting
Started document, the ProjectConsole glossary of terms, contact information for
customer support, and more. This toolbar also features the Online properties tab, which you can use to connect to the
Rational corporate Web site home page and product page, as well as the Rational
Developer Network. You can use the Log Out button to log out and then log in again
as a different user.
The new Operations toolbar
contains buttons that you can use to start the Dashboard and the Designer, view
your user profile, and perform administrative tasks.
The new ProjectConsole sample
site features two ClassicsCD.com projects.
The folder hierarchies used for each product shows you examples of how
you can organize your ProjectConsole Web site and shows capabilities across
projects, such as rolled-up measurement views.
The
Administrator and Designer applets have been merged into a single applet in Version
2003.06.00 – the Designer.
You
now use the Designer to run scheduled tasks and view the task logs.
Previously,
if you ran a collection task multiple times on a single day, you had to
manually delete previous collection(s) to store only the data collected during
the last run. Now, if you run a collection more than once on a given day,
ProjectConsole does this for you automatically.
You
can no longer use the Designer to create and schedule data transformations, but
you can still perform data transformations by specifying transformation scripts
as startup and/or shutdown commands in collection tasks. If you used the
Designer in Version 2002.05.20 to create transformations, then you must convert
them to external transformations. For
information on how to do this, contact Rational Customer Support.
The
Dashboard has expanded security features that let you, as an administrator,
selectively provide individual users and groups with access to folders and
panels, based on what they need to view or modify to accomplish their work.
You
can now publish all charts and indicators from the Dashboard.
Whatever
your role on the development team, you can selectively view the reports and
data tailored to your specific needs and interests.
Non-administrators
who access the Dashboard can drill down on the metrics displays to explore the
data presented in more detail and display charts using different formats. However, only administrators can create,
modify, save, and delete Dashboard content. Your ProjectConsole administrator
can create a personal folder for you in the Dashboard navigation tree. You can
use this folder to customize your view of the folders and metrics you are
authorized (as an individual user) to view. You can create folders and copy
and/or delete folder and/or metrics panels in it. No one else has access to
your personal folder by default.
The
ProjectConsole sample site comes with a new set of metric display samples that
you can reuse for your own projects.
In addition
to the line, bar, scatter plot, and stacked bar chart formats, you can now
present your collected measures in pie charts and area charts.
Folders
and panels in the Dashboard navigation tree now have shortcut menus that administrators
can use to:
·
Create
and rename folders
·
Cut,
copy, and paste panels and folders
·
Delete
panels and folders
·
Set
access control list (ACL) properties for folder nodes and their child nodes
If
an administrator has set up personal folders for individual users, as a
non-administrator, you can also use the shortcut menu to add information to and
organize it in your own folder.
You
can now use the ProjectConsole Maintenance Tool to migrate project data you collected using a previous
version of ProjectConsole.
In
previous versions of ProjectConsole, the data storage facility was called the
metrics warehouse. It consisted of a schema repository database and a warehouse
database. In this release, the metrics
warehouse is replaced by the ProjectConsole repository. In a ProjectConsole
repository, the schema repository and the warehouse database (now called the
data warehouse) are closely tied to a new security database that stores all
information about the navigation tree structure for the ProjectConsole Web
site, as well as user and group authorization information.
To
configure the ProjectConsole server and agent software in earlier versions of
the Maintenance Tool, two separate steps were required. Now, you can use the same step in the
Maintenance Tool to configure both the server components and agent components
installed on the ProjectConsole server.
Note: If you have
installed the report server and collection agent software on one or more agent
machines, you must still configure that software separately on each machine.
The Rational Software Solutions Knowledge Base now provides information
from an extensive database of solutions managed by Rational ProjectConsole
technical support professionals.
To access and use the knowledge
base:
1.
Go to http://solutions.rational.com/solutions/search.jsp.
2.
Under Search by Product and/or Keyword(s), in the
products list, select ALL PRODUCTS.

4.
To refine your search, select an item in the Search Using list.
5.
Click Search.
This
section provides information about changes made to ProjectConsole Template
Builder in this release.
You
can now use Template Builder to report on Microsoft® Project 2002 and Rational XDE version
2003.
The
new Refresh command on the ProjectConsole menu reloads dynamic schema changes
made to a point product since you last opened Template Builder.
The
domain information has been removed from the Template Builder Help system. Each
domain is documented in its own PDF file. To access a domain PDF file, click Help > Help
on Domains, and then click the domain name.

Rational
has determined that under certain circumstances file system corruption can
result from installing Rational Version 2003 products on Windows 2000 to an NTFS partition that has the Windows "Change
Journal" (log) enabled on it. Therefore, the Rational Installer will
not install to such partitions. Rational is actively working with
Microsoft to better understand, repair, and/or work around the problem.
Before
installing any Rational Version 2003 product on a computer running Windows
2000, please read Rational Solution 182435434 at http://solutions.rational.com/solutions/display.jsp?solutionId=182435434
for the latest information. Alternatively, you can search the Rational
Solutions Knowledge Base at http://solutions.rational.com/solutions for the
text "Change Journal".
The
Open Transaction Manager (otman), a device driver
that is included in some backup software products, is incompatible with the Rational product installer. Installing a Rational product on
a host where this driver is also installed can cause file system corruption
that renders the volume on which the Rational product
is installed unusable. If the Rational product installer displays a message
indicating that this driver is installed on a host, you must remove the product
that installed the driver before you can continue with your Rational
product installation. Use "Add or Remove Programs" in the Windows
Control Panel to remove the product. Products that are known to use this driver
include:
·
Veritas Net Backup
client
After
you have finished installing your Rational product,
you may re-install the product that includes the otman
driver.
For
more information, contact Rational Customer Support.
For
more information about installing the Rational ProjectConsole software for the
first time, see the printed manuals Rational® Software Server Products Installation Guide and Rational® Software Desktop Products Installation Guide.

Published views in …\Program Files\Rational\jakarta-tomcat\webapps\ProjectConsole\PublishedViews
Note: When you remove Rational Suite, the files
that have been installed by ProjectConsole, including files you have modified,
are removed from your system. Back up the files you modified and those you
added to a different directory (one that is not used by Rational products) so
that you can retrieve them later. For future reference, record the location of
your backup on the following line:
Backed-up ProjectConsole files: ___________________________________________
5.
In Version 2003.06.00, start pages are displayed, but root
pages are not. If your current installation includes
both types of pages, consider combining them into a single start page.
6.
Use database vendor tools to back up the schema repository
and warehouse databases. Alternatively, use the ProjectConsole Maintenance Tool
to copy the original databases to another set of databases.
Note: ProjectConsole data migration occurs in place, replacing
the earlier versions of your data. If you do not back up the schema repository
and warehouse, you have no recourse if you need the earlier version of the data
later.
7.
Write down the connection locations for the schema
repository and data warehouse databases.
Follow
these steps only if you have a one-system environment with SQL Anywhere server
and ProjectConsole servers on the same computer. For information about

account that has access to the remote resources.
Rational Web Platform,
servlet engine
If you plan to set up report
nodes on the ProjectConsole Web site that use the File System template to
display a list of files stored on a remote computer, and the report nodes use a
mapped network drive or a UNC path name to access the
remote computer:
·
Configure
the Rational Web Platform, servlet engine service to log on using a named
account that has access to the remote resources.
Note: After you setup the collection server service
or the report server service to run as a named account that has access to
remote machines, you can no longer collect data from Rose models or generate
artifact reports on Rose models.
If you plan to collect Rose model artifacts or generate
artifact reports on Rose models, you need to configure the Rational
ProjectConsole Collection Server and Rational ProjectConsole Report Server
services as follows:
1.
Log on using the Local System account.
2.
Select the Allow service to interact with desktop check box.
We
recommend that you use a separate agent machine for all Rose artifact
collections and for Rose artifact report generation.
If you plan to run collections on ClearQuest databases,
you must re-establish the connection to these databases. This connection was
lost when you uninstalled Rational ClearQuest.
To re-establish the connection to ClearQuest databases:
·
Start
the Rational ClearQuest Maintenance Tool, and then do one of the following:
o
If
you have saved the ClearQuest connection information to a profile, click File >
Import Profile, and then
enter the profile name.
o
If
you do not have a connection profile, click Connection > New, and then provide the connection
information.
To complete the ProjectConsole upgrade, check the
following items on your Web site.
Broken icon images
Check the navigation tree on the main page for broken
icons and fix any that are broken.
If
a custom icon was specified for a node in your Version 2002.05.00 navigation
tree, after migration, ProjectConsole displays a broken image icon next to the
node.
If
you see a broken image icon, do the following:
a.
Copy
the image file for the icon to the following directory:
…\Program
Files\Rational\Common\rwp\webapps\projectconsole\pjc\Icons
b.
Edit
the node and browse to select the icon.
For information about how
to edit a node in the navigation tree, see Rational ProjectConsole Help.
URLs
that reference virtual Internet Information Services directories
If
you configured any tree nodes to display URLs that reference virtual Internet
Information Services (IIS) directories, these URLs
are invalid unless you have configured the Rational Web Platform (RWP) and IIS to work together.
For
information on how to set up a server running both RWP
and IIS, see
“Allowing IIS and RWP to
Co-Exist on a Single Server” in
the printed document Rational Suite® Upgrade Guide.
HTML
files in v2002.05.00 directories
If
any nodes in the v 2002.05.00 navigation tree pointed to html files stored in
…\Program Files\Rational\jakarta-tomcat\webapps\projectconsole,
copy these html files to …\Program Files\Rational\Common\rwp\webapps\projectconsole.
Relative
references to HTML files
If
a node in the navigation tree used a relative reference to an html file (that
is, the URL contained only the html file name), copy the html file to …\Program
Files\Rational\ Common\rwp\ webapps\projectconsole\pjc.
Start
pages in v2002.05.00 directories
In
version 2003.06.00, the start.htm file
and any associated image files are located in …\Program Files\Rational\ProjectConsole\DataRepository\<YourDataRepository>.
If
this page did not migrate during the upgrade:
1.
Copy
the page and the associated image files from …\Program Files\Rational\jakarta-tomcat\webapps\projectconsole to the new data repository folder.
2.
Use
the ProjectConsole Maintenance Tool to re-connect to your repository.
Migrated ProjectConsole
Help and ProjectConsole Resources nodes
You
can now access the ProjectConsole Help from the Logo toolbar, so you can delete
the migrated ProjectConsole Help node from the navigation tree.
If the ProjectConsole Resources node contains no useful information,
delete it also.
Templates
in v2002.05.00 directories
If
a node in the navigation tree points to a template that uses an absolute path
value to reference the jakarta-tomcat\webapps directory (using the FileSystem
domain), then modify these paths to reference the location under the …\Rational\Common\rwp\webapps directory. This can be the case for templates that display a
published chart, for example.
Templates that reference GIF files
Modify
any templates that use a FileSystem domain OPEN command to reference GIF files. ProjectConsole no longer supports
GIF
files inserted with the
file system adapter. Convert GIF files to PNG or JPG format
and modify the OPEN command
to reference the new file format.
Username
and password updates
Specify
the username and password values for nodes that access RequisitePro,
ClearQuest, or TestManager. In Version 2002.05.00, ProjectConsole prompted
users to log in when an artifact report required authentication, and the
logged-in user was not a valid user for the specified product. In Version
2003.06.00, ProjectConsole no longer prompts users to log in.
If
the login information is specified in the node properties, then ProjectConsole
generates the artifact using the specified username and password. If no login
information is specified for a node, ProjectConsole generates the artifact
report using the username and password of the user who is currently logged in.
Note: Only nodes for which a username is specified
are included in scheduled, offline updates of generated reports on the Web
site. This includes report nodes for products that do not require a login.
New
sample metrics panels
ProjectConsole
Version 2003.06.00 has new sample published views.
If
you want to remove the sample views, delete the files in the following
directory:
…\Rational\Common\rwp\webapps\projectconsole\PublishedViews\Dashboard\ClassicsCD.com
Projects
Default admin user password
If
the original warehouse did not include a user with username admin,
ProjectConsole v2003.06.00 adds this user. The username is “admin” and the
password is “changeit.” You cannot delete, rename, or suspend this user, but
you can change its password. We recommend that you do so for security reasons.
Security prompt starting the Dashboard
or the Designer
After
you start the ProjectConsole Dashboard or Designer, a Security Warning box
opens and prompts you to indicate whether you want to trust the signed applet.
Select the Grant Always check box, or click Always to continue, depending on which Java plug-in version is
installed on your computer. We recommend that you notify users that they will
also be required to respond to the question about trusting the signed applet.
Migrating
SQL Anywhere 5 data to SQL Anywhere 8
For
SQL Anywhere database users: If you have upgraded your SQL Anywhere server from
version 5 to 8.0, and you continue to use SQL Anywhere 5 databases, you can use
the ProjectConsole Maintenance tool to copy the migrated schema repository and
data warehouse from SQL Anywhere 5 to SQL Anywhere 8. This will improve
database performance. For information about how to do this, see the Rational
ProjectConsole Maintenance Tool Help.
This section describes how to
configure a ProjectConsole agent. If you did not install the ProjectConsole
collection agents or report servers on a remote computer, you can skip this
section.
We assume that you have already performed these steps:
·
Upgraded the ProjectConsole server software on the
ProjectConsole server
·
Installed the ProjectConsole report server and collection
agents on a remote computer
To configure the ProjectConsole agent services:
1.
Click Start > Programs > Rational Software > Rational
ProjectConsole > Rational ProjectConsole Maintenance Tool.
2.
On the first page of the Maintenance Tool, leave Configure the
ProjectConsole services selected and click Next.
3.
Enter the Web server name.
This
page displays advanced options. In most cases, you can accept the default
value. The Maintenance Tool Help describes each option in detail.
4.
Click Finish.
5.
Verify that the message “Operation Complete” is displayed.
Note:
You are not required to restart the ProjectConsole collection agents or
report server. These components automatically detect the new Web server name
and connect to the ProjectConsole services running on the Web server.
Licensing has changed for
ProjectConsole v2003.06.00. As of this release, every user who logs in to
ProjectConsole must have either a ProjectConsole Web access license or a Suites
floating license.
The ProjectConsole server
checks out one Suite/TUP node-locked or floating
license and one ProjectConsole Web access floating license for each client (IP
address). If no ProjectConsole Web access licenses are available, it checks out
a Suites floating license.
This
section identifies special considerations for using ProjectConsole and
ProjectConsole Template Builder with other Rational
products and with third-party products.
This
ProjectConsole release, as installed, does not support the collection of and
reporting on measures from Rational XDE. An updated version that provides this
support is available from Rational
Developer Network.
There are
limitations on the number of fields that can be queried using certain database
vendors. These limitations vary from vendor to vendor. This generally applies
to artifact report generation and measurements collection from ClearQuest
databases.
If you are running the
ProjectConsole Template Builder, generating an artifact report, creating a
source template, or collecting measures from a ClearQuest database, and an
error occurs that indicates your query contains too many fields, either switch
to another database vendor or reduce the number of fields used in your
ClearQuest query.
You
can use ProjectConsole Version 2003.06.00 to report on (and collect data from)
most Rational products of version 2002.05.00 and higher. However, this is not
the case for TestManager. With
ProjectConsole Version 2003.06.00, you can only report on and collect data from
TestManager Version 2003.06.00.
After
ClearCase is installed on a Template Builder machine, the ProjectConsole menu is
corrupted. When Template Builder detects ClearCase on the same machine, a
ProjectConsole toolbar is displayed under the main menu. To work around the
ProjectConsole menu problems, use the ProjectConsole toolbar commands instead
of the ProjectConsole menu commands.
If you
are using a Netscape browser to view ProjectConsole, you must use version 7.0
or above. On some platforms, if you access ProjectConsole using an unsupported
Netscape version, an error message is displayed. On other platforms, the login
process gets stuck on the "Loading ProjectConsole" page.
There
is a menu compatibility issue with ProjectConsole Template Builder and Acrobat
5.0.5. To work around this issue, display the ProjectConsole toolbar below the
main menu by clicking View > Toolbars > ProjectConsole Toolbar. Use the
commands on the toolbar instead of the commands on the ProjectConsole menu.
The Java 1.4.1/1.4.1_01 Java Runtime
Engine (JRE) / plug-in causes machines with ATI
graphics cards to lock up when displaying Java graphics from ProjectConsole.
To work around this, do the following:
1.
Open the Windows control panel.
2.
Double-click Java Plug-in.
The
Java Plug-in Control Panel window opens.
Note: if the Java
Plug-in Control Panel window does not open, install the DirectX 9.0 driver
using your browser's Tools > Windows Update selection or download it from
the Microsoft web site.
3.
Click the Advanced tab.
4.
In the Java Runtime Parameters box, type
“Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true in the field.”
5.
Click Apply, and then close the Java Plug-in Control Panel window.
6.
Restart all browser windows
Note: This problem will be fixed in the 1.4.1_02 JRE.
There are no known restrictions
associated with this product.

The
TestMgrExecutedTCCollection.bat command script that is run as a shutdown
command on the sample TM_ExecutedTestCases_Collection
task contains a hard-coded hostname to indicate where the PjC data warehouse
is located. This is a limitation of the command script. If you try to run
this script without changing the server name, it fails. Workaround:
Before you run the sample TM_ExecutedTestCases_Collection
task, you must edit the updateTestMgrExecutedTCCollection.bat
file so that it points to your data warehouse instead. If you created a
Microsoft® SQL Server-based repository, replace
"dishigali-w2kas" with your SQL Server machine name and replace
"tutorialwarehouse" with your data
warehouse name. Note:
If your SQL Server user does not use “admin” as both username and password,
you must also replace the username and password for the repository. For
database products other than SQL Server, you must write a bat file that
connects to your ProjectConsole repository. If you are familiar with
ClearQuest, you can use the pdsql command, for
example. (To get Help for this command, type "pdsql"
on the command line). The updateTestMgrExecutedTCCollection.sql script that this bat file references contains raw SQL commands that
update the Test Manager ProjectConsole tables. Your ProjectConsole repository
should contain the expected tables with the expected field names. If the
script fails to run because it cannot find a table or a field, you must edit
the sql script so that the tables/field names correspond to those in your
repository. Note: The names in
the sql script are the physical table and field names. You
must make the same changes to the setExecutedTestCases.bat
command script that is specified as a startup command for that same task and
to any other batch file specified as a startup or shutdown command of a
sample collection task. |

If
you try to move an Oracle-based ProjectConsole data warehouse to another
Oracle-based ProjectConsole data warehouse using the ProjectConsole

then copy from that database into your new Oracle database. ·
Use the ClearQuest Maintenance Tool to copy the schema
repository and the ClearQuest Designer to copy the data warehouse. |

The
number of query fields a ClearQuest query can define in order to be
successfully used by a Template Builder template or a domain source template
varies, depending on the database vendor you use. If
you encounter an error indicating that too many fields are defined when
generating a report or collecting artifacts from a ClearQuest database, then
you must reduce the number of query fields in the query used to generate that
report or collect the data. |

There
is no way to pass information from a ProjectConsole artifact report into dynamic
ClearQuest queries. (A dynamic ClearQuest query is a query that prompts the

In
ProjectConsole Template Builder, as you build an artifact report template, you
can add filters to constrain the data to display. All of the data inserted
into an artifact report is returned from the data source as string data. The
result is that all of the comparison filters use string comparisons, even on
numeric data. Therefore, numeric strings may be filtered incorrectly (for
example, 100 will be less than 99). Workaround:

On Unix/Linux
systems, the Java plug-in download page is not correctly displayed if the
plug-in is not installed. After you do get the Java plug-in installed, the
java/lib/ext directory is sometimes write-protected. If this is the case, the
Dashboard applet cannot install some required classes and, therefore, cannot
run. Workaround:
You can manually display the Java plug-in download page using the
http://hostname/Java_Plugins URL. After you install and configure the Java
plug-in, make sure that the java lib/ext directory is not write-protected. If
you still cannot start the Dashboard after you have changed the permissions
on this directory, manually copy the klg45.jar file into this java lib/ext
directory. You can find the klg45.jar file on the ProjectConsole server in
the following directory: …\Rational\Common\rwp\webapps\projectconsole\pjc |

If
you migrate data from a previous ProjectConsole
release to the 2003.06.00 release, ProjectConsole will migrate the
ProjectConsole Tools and Help nodes to ensure that no customer data is lost. The
default content of the ProjectConsole Tools folder is no longer relevant in
version 2003.06.00 because you now start the Dashboard and the Designer from
the Operations toolbar. The Help node is no longer useful because you now
access the Help from the Logo toolbar. Workaround: If the migrated nodes contain only the
default ProjectConsole content, you can delete them. If project-specific
content was added to these nodes, move this content to another folder, and
then delete the legacy nodes. |
Designer |
RATLC00369915 |
In
the 2003.06.00 release, the ProjectConsole Administrator was merged into the
Designer. Therefore, the Designer may take somewhat longer to initialize than
before. Workaround:
The long initialization times can often be traced to a site that has a large
number of scheduled task logs. To improve Designer startup time, delete older
scheduled task logs. You can use the Scheduled Task Logs window to select
multiple logs and delete them all at the same time. For information about how
to delete the task logs, see the topic “Managing the task logs” in the
Designer Help. |

Check the taskbar to see if it contains an icon for the dialog box. Click the icon, and then confirm that you
accept the applet. |

If
you have the Dashboard running, and you are inactive for a period of time
(the default is one hour), the log-in session expires and you must log in
again to continue working. Certain
operations, such as expanding a tree node or creating a chart, are done
entirely in the client browser, or through the Dashboard data warehouse. Such
operations work even after your session has expired. However, once you
perform an action that requires a response from the server, you are notified
that your session has expired and you are prompted to log in again. Workaround:
If you are a ProjectConsole administrator, you can specify a longer session
timeout interval. For instructions on changing the session timeout interval,
see the topic “Setting the session timeout interval for work sessions” in the

If
you try to generate an artifact report and the underlying report template cannot
be located, ProjectConsole does not generate the report, and displays no
error message to address the failure. (In some cases, an error message is
displayed.) Workaround: Instead of entering a template name
manually on the Add Node and Edit Node forms, use the Browse button to select
a report template. Also, after you migrate data from
a previous release, verify that any custom templates you created were
successfully migrated to the new templates folder. |
