Quantify provides accurate, repeatable performance data for your C and C++ applications. Using Rational Quantify you can:
Easily
locate and fix the problems that are the most likely to be the cause
of poor performance. Quantify instruments and returns performance data
for all the code in your application, including system and third-party
libraries, shared libraries, and statically linked modules.
Compare "before" and "after"
runs to see the impact of your changes on performance.
Incorporate
Quantify into your development process by
adding a single word to your makefile and relinking. You don't need to
recompile to use it, and you can use it on the exact code you expect to
ship. Quantify works with existing makefiles, debugging tools and standard
testing scripts.
Use Quantify options and API
functions to collect data for a small portion of a run or for an entire
run.
Unlike sampling-based profilers, Quantify does not include any overhead in the data it reports. The numbers you see represent the time your program would take without Quantify.
