Creating a UNIX VOB for UNIX and NT

• Create UNIX VOB as the administrator

  • umask 002 (for group share), group set to UNIX project group, with -ncaexport option
  • To go around WINS/DNS issues, use fully-qualified machine name for VOB server host (e.g., chicago.rd.rational.com)
  • VOB server host is where the physical VOB storage directory residesUse -host, -hpath, -gpath options to override the defaults
