Why not native ClearCase or ClearCase Encased in a Wrapper?

• ClearCase is not available on all platforms

• Maintainability of ClearCase versions throughout an enterprise

• Porting and distributing CM throughout an enterprise

  • CM must be manually ported to different architectures and OS’s
  • CM updates must be synchronized to maintain CM versioning
