Clearcase Recommendations
Never add MVFS drive to System PATH ev
- Deadlock can occur between MVFS and view_server processes
Be careful with setting of CASE Preserve MVFS option (3.1/3.1.1 patch)
- Possible problems with Visual Studio project file names (case mismatch)
Do not have real network hostname the same as MVFS view network root (default: \\view)
- Slows down lookup of names in \\view\<viewtag>
Do not have an NT DOMAIN named “clearcase”!
- Various failures, ALBD server will not start
