Post Mortem: Self-inflicted Wounds
A history of bad SCM practices were addressed.
- Use of unsupported and/or cloned include files.
- Dealt with a “ship it” mentality.
Some items designed to minimize impact did the opposite.
- With some groups, there was much thrashing between platforms.
- Unable to use some more powerful ClearCase features.
- Short term outages of the mirroring mechanism shut down some development effort.
