			     for AIX (IBM RS6000)

 The clearddts.tar archives will unpack their entire contents into the
 directory NEWCLEARDDTS.  Any existing NEWCLEARDDTS directories from previous
 releases should be removed prior to unpacking.  Code common to all
 platforms is contained in each tar archive, easing use of single platform
 installations.  If the installation site is expecting to support multiple
 platforms, then each required tar archive should be unpacked, resulting in
 a single NEWCLEARDDTS with multiple binary directories supporting each of
 the required platforms.

 When NEWCLEARDDTS has been created, refer to the ClearDDTS Installation
 and Licensing Guide for further installation instructions.  If the manual
 is not available, the file INSTALL in the recently extracted NEWCLEARDDTS
 directory provides a summary of the installation directions.
