1.0 About this release

The IBM® Rational® RequisitePro® integration for WebSphere® Business Modeler 6.1.0 provides a tightly integrated requirements management solution, enabling associations between business requirements and WebSphere Business Modeler elements when RequisitePro is installed. You can link to business process artifacts, such as objectives, strategies, tasks, rules, and use cases, and manage them as requirements with traceability in RequisitePro views and documents.

This integration includes the following features:

2.1 Hardware requirements

No additional hardware requirements are necessary to install this feature.

2.2 Software requirements

The following version of RequisitePro is required for this feature: 7.0.1. Downloads and upgrades for RequsitePro are available at http://www.ibm.com/software/awdtools/reqpro/support/.

You can install this feature for use with the following products:

To determine the version of WebSphere Business Modeler that you currently have installed, click Help > About IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Basic version 6.1 or Advanced > Feature Details. Information for WebSphere Business Modeler products is available at www.ibm.com/software/integration/wbimodeler/.

To install the Rational RequisitePro integration for WebSphere Business Modeler using the update manager in Eclipse, perform the following steps:

  1. In WebSphere Business Modeler, click Help > Software Updates > Find and Install. The Install/Update wizard opens.
  2. Select Search for new features to install, and click Next.
  3. On the "Update sites to visit" page, select IBM Rational RequisitePro Update Site and click Next.
  4. On the "Search Results" select IBM Rational RequisitePro Integration for WebSphere Business Modeler. Click Next.
  5. On the "Feature License" page, read the license agreements for each feature that you are installing and accept the agreements by clicking I accept the terms in the license agreements. Then click Next.
  6. On the "Install Location" page, click Finish. After WebSphere Business Modeler has installed the Rational RequisitePro integration, a window opens. The message in the window recommends restarting the workbench.
  7. Restart WebSphere Business Modeler by clicking Yes.

The Rational RequisitePro integration for WebSphere Business Modeler is now available for you to use.

3.0 Known limitations, problems, and workarounds

This release note includes release-specific problems and limitations:

·         The Drag and Drop policy "Drop on container makes link to container" is not supported in the RequisitePro integration with WebSphere Business Modeler. (RATLC01092185)

·         The RequisitePro integration Help is generally based on the integration with Rational Software Development Platform products. The Help does not specifically address the WebSphere Business Modeler domain and its model elements; however, the information does present the concepts and capabilities of the RequisitePro integration.
